The project is addressed to the environments of family foster care from the district of Zgierz. The aim of the project is to develop family support services and a foster care system. It assumes the implementation of RZ support in the period from VII 2024 to VI 2027. The project will enable the development of services provided to minors and adults (staying in foster families in accordance with Article 37(2) on family support and foster care system) placed in foster care, by increasing the knowledge and skills of foster parents and reducing the deficits of foster care pupils through therapy and psychoeducation and specialist psychological counselling. The result will be to maintain highly qualified places of service after the end of the project and reduce the risk of social exclusion of project participants, improve the quality of care, increase professionalism at the place of service provision, i.e. in a foster family environment. It will support 110 existing places for the provision of social services in the form of foster families and prepare new places for the provision of services by training 36 candidates to perform the function of a foster family. The applicant assumes, on the basis of experience, that the end result will be the creation of 20 new places for the provision of family support services and foster care. A total of 140 foster pupils (children and young people) will benefit from direct actions: 1. Psychoeducational and therapeutic classes combined with holiday rest, which will allow for development in the social, individual sphere, reduction of emotional disorders, raising their self-esteem, equip with new skills and classes developing emotional and social competences. Substitute caregivers will benefit from: 1. Training services in the dimension of 5 hours (to choose the subject of 11 trainings) - 50 foster parents (36 K, 14 M). These activities respond to the need for further training resulting from the provisions of law and the needs reported by families. 2. Support for 6 social workers (based on the Act on family support and foster care system) - 90 RZ/110 people (86 K,24 M) including 55 RZ related, 30 RZ non-professional, 3 RZ professional (12 supported places of providing social services) and 2 Family Children's Homes (13 supported places of providing social services). 3. Support groups for 30 foster parents. Children and their carers will benefit from: 1. Psychological counseling - 30 people. 2. Training and integration trip - 114 people. As part of the project activities carried out, the Contractor will apply the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities, by enabling all persons - regardless of sex, age, disability, race or ethnic origin, religion or belief (the Charter of Fundamental Rights, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, equal opportunities and accessibility and the principle of sustainable development will be applied).
