The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of life by ensuring the reliability of supplying residents, entrepreneurs and tourists with good quality drinking water. The project concerns the modernisation and repair of infrastructure for water treatment and distribution, in order to reduce losses in the supply of drinking water and to reduce the risk of accidents and increase the efficiency of water use in municipalities with a population of no more than 15 000 inhabitants (Municipality of Strzyżewice - 8 164 inhabitants at the end of 2023). The draft provides for: 1) Modernization of water intake in Pszczelej Wola including renovation of water intake facilities and water supply station located on cadastral plots No: 1138/21, 1140/17 geodetic region Osmolice First. The option chosen for the modernisation of the network provides for the system to be designed in such a way as to ensure the reliability of the water supply even in the event of failure of one of its components - in the designed pumping station, redundant sets of pumps (4-pump hydrophore sets) will be used, which can operate alternately or simultaneously to ensure uninterrupted water supply. If one pump fails, the other automatically takes over its function. Sectional valves: The water supply network is divided into sections using shut-off valves, which allow you to isolate damaged sections of the pipeline without affecting the rest of the network. This makes it possible to carry out repairs without having to turn off the water supply in the entire area. The implementation of the project will also allow the encapsulation of devices in the water supply network through the use of waterproof enclosures (e.g. for pumps), which are completely dustproof and resistant to immersion in water, which protects the devices from water and moisture. Metal devices, such as pumps or valves, will be covered with anti-corrosion coatings that protect them from corrosion caused by water, moisture and other chemical agents. The use of the above methods of encapsulation significantly increases the reliability and safety of devices in the water supply network, protecting them from adverse environmental conditions and minimizing the risk of failure. The project will use solutions to improve the quality of water intended for human consumption: modernized water intake will allow for more effective disinfection of the existing water supply (water disinfection, reduction of chemical compounds, control and monitoring of water quality). The project will allow the implementation of effective diagnostic measures of the technical condition of the water supply network through constant analysis of water quality (Regular monitoring of water parameters, such as chlorine level, pH, conductivity, temperature, the presence of heavy metals and microbiological contaminants, may indicate problems in the network, such as pipe corrosion, water pollution or internal congestion). The project will use the website to share information, contact users (comments and complaints, inquiries, availability of existing and new services, etc.), assess the level of user satisfaction with the services received. As part of the upgrade of the existing network, new users will not be connected.
