Improving the quality and availability of medical services by setting up a multi-specialist treatment center in the Biała Podlaska Regional Specialist Hospital in one day and retrofitting AOS.

The investment includes the construction of a new building intended for medical purposes. The building will be located in place of the existing prosecuting and pathomorphology building. It is planned to build and retrofit a 4-storey facility with multi-specialist treatment areas. The underground floor will be technical and logistical functions. 3 floors above ground will be used for medical purposes. At the roof level, the location of parts of ventilation units and aggregates is foreseen. Number of floors: above-ground - 3, underground - 1. The underground floor will be technical, warehouse and logistic functions, including the cloakrooms of the staff.This level will be connected by an underground subterranean connector to the existing complex of buildings. The above-ground floors will be used for medical purposes related to the provision of health services within the Centre: . Level 0 (ground floor) – will serve as an ophthalmic clinic. The ground floor was designed for diagnostic-treatment and consultation functions for outpatients. The area includes registration, waiting rooms and changing rooms. This is a common space for all areas. Registration will support outpatient patients. and patients scheduled for the procedure. The waiting room was designed for about 70 patients. Level +1 - the first floor was allocated to the ward and the ophthalmic treatment area of the services in one day mode. In the immediate vicinity of the ward there is a 2 - room treatment area with preparatory facilities. The rooms will be equipped with anesthesiological and surgical column, treatment lamp, treatment table. mobile, monitors, mobile ophthalmic microscope. Level +2 - 2nd floor of the building was allocated to the treatment area of one-day therapies with a treatment profile. As a result of investments at this level, the following ranges of benefits will be implemented: surgical, trauma-orthopaedic, urological, gynecological, otolaryngological. There are living rooms on this floor for 8 patients. The rooms will be equipped with fold-out armchairs and necessary medical, eclectic and teletechnical gas installations. A 2-room operational area with preparatory facilities will be located in this area. The rooms will be equipped with an anaesthesiological and surgical column, a treatment lamp, a mobile treatment table. A pre-washing room for disinfection of treatment tools is available from both rooms. Within the treatment area there will be a 2 - bed room for post-anaesthesia supervision. The scope of work includes the connection of the new building with underground transport to the main complex of the Hospital and the construction of the technical infrastructure necessary for the functioning of the new building. The new facility will be located in the immediate vicinity of the current complex of hospital buildings at ul. Terebelska 57-65 and used the existing diagnostic and service infrastructure of the Hospital in the form of imaging and laboratory diagnostics, kitchen, supplies, hospital pharmacy, cleaning, central sterilization, etc. Medical and non-medical equipment will also be purchased for the new building. The investment will be tailored to the needs of people with special needs. In addition, medical equipment will be purchased for the needs of specialist clinics operating in the Hospital - General, Urological, Traumatic-Orthopaedic, Cardiological, Gynecological and Obstetric Surgery Clinic (also used by the Diabetes Clinic), Oncology, Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases Clinic (also used by the Allergy Clinic). As a result of the investment, the number of daily residences in Ophthalmology will increase from 9 to 13. At the same time, in the branches: Surgical General, Traumatic-Orthopaedic, Gynecological-Obstetric, Urological and Otolaryngological will also be created places of daily residence. The project also includes training of the hospital's medical staff and informative and promotional activities.
