Time for activity

The ‘Active Time’ project includes comprehensive support for 64 older people over 60 years of age (39K, 25M) at risk of poverty and social exclusion working or residing in the Lublin region within the meaning of the provisions of the Civil Code. Project implemented by the Association of Social and Civic Initiatives ETOS in partnership with Benefit Projekt Andrzej Bożek. The assumption of the project is to support seniors in keeping up with the changing reality, introducing modern technologies into the difficult world and overcoming the fears resulting from a lack of knowledge in this area in at least 80% of participants in the period from 01.06.2025 to 31.05.2026. Achieving the planned goal will be possible by going through the full project path including: individual activation classes including psychological consultations, coaching and computer/language training. The whole will be complemented by integration, during which seniors (during joint trips) will be able to actively participate in social and cultural life, as well as stay in an environment of people of similar age. Recruitment will be based on promotional activities using advertisements in public places (offices, housing estates, health centers), institutions directing support for seniors (DPS, senior clubs, rural housewives' circles, municipal offices, parishes), social media (reaching the families of the elderly), whispered marketing and the use of the accumulated database of people who have not been qualified for previously implemented projects or participated in other projects of Applicants and expressed their willingness to obtain information about subsequent projects. The recruitment process will involve local units acting for the benefit of a given community, the organizers will also use their experience in working with a given target group, in the area of the Lublin Voivodeship. The main goal of the project is to counteract social exclusion and increase the ability to find themselves in the modern world at least 80% of participants, i.e. 52 elderly people (30K, 22M) until 31.05.2026 by raising knowledge and active participation in social and cultural life. Thanks to the implementation of the project, people who will take part in it and complete the participation will improve their competence in the field of computer / language, increase knowledge of the safe use of modern technologies, as well as motivation to continue learning, thanks to the mutual influence of individuals in the group. In addition, thanks to organized trips, they will be able to actively integrate both in their own environment and between generations. The objective of the project is in line with the specific objective 4l ESF+ of Priority VIII Supporting the social inclusion of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion, including the most deprived persons and children It is also in line with the objective of Measure 8.9 project type project type 1: Social activation of people most at risk of poverty or social exclusion, including older people – the project activities aim to activate older people at risk of social exclusion and make them aware of the advantages of spending time together, encouraging them to leave home and undertaking educational or cultural activities.
