Free computer training for residents of Lubelskie Voivodship

The main objective of the project "Free computer training for residents of the Lubelskie Voivodship" is to enable 80 participants of the project to acquire digital competences. (hereinafter referred to as UP), including the elderly over 60 years of age, the low-skilled, people with disabilities and war refugees from Ukraine living in the Lubelskie Voivodship, along with the validation of the acquired competences. We intend to achieve this goal in the period from 01.01.2024 to 31.08.2024. It fits directly into Policy Objective 4. A more social, inclusive and implementing Europe’s Pillar of Social Rights and specific objective 4(g) Support lifelong learning, in particular flexible upskilling and reskilling opportunities for all, taking into account entrepreneurial and digital skills, better anticipating change and new skills needs based on labour market needs, facilitating career transitions and supporting professional mobility. Only people who intend to increase their competences on their own initiative will take part in the project. The project assumes broadly understood promotion and recruitment, conducted using, among others, printed press, local Internet portals and distribution of printed information materials. Each OP will be subject to a competency level diagnosis carried out by a career counsellor, on the basis of which an individual support path will be determined for him/her (Task 1). We predict that about 30 people will reach the level of baseline knowledge 0 or 1 during the diagnosis. They will be directed to computer training of basic level DIGCOMP (3 gr. x 10 pers.) (Task 2), and after its completion they will continue learning at functional level (intermediate) DIGCOMP (3 gr. x 10 pers.) (Task 3). As a rule - the remaining 50 people during the diagnosis will reach the starting level of 2 or 3 - they will be qualified for computer training at the functional (intermediate) level of DIGCOMP (5 gr. x 10 pers.) (Task 4). After completing the training, all UPs who complete at least 80% of the training support will participate in an external exam verifying the level of acquired qualifications to the functional level (Task 5). We assume that DIGCOMP's digital competence at the functional level will acquire at least 90% of UP as part of the project. The formula of each training will be implemented in the same way: 8 days x 4 hours, including a break - in total each group will take part in 32 hours of training). Classes will be held in rooms equipped with computer sets and meeting accessibility standards for people with disabilities. During the training, participants will be provided with a coffee service along with refreshments and training materials. The project will be implemented taking into account the principles of equal opportunities for women and men, equal opportunities and non-discrimination, including accessibility for persons with disabilities, in accordance with the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union of 26 October 2012, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, done at New York on 13 December 2006, and the principle of sustainable development. Project implemented in partnership with the RATIS Foundation based in Gdańsk - Pomorskie Province (KRS: 0000777855).
