EXISTING STATE AND PROBLEMS: In accordance with the Act of 17 December 2021 on voluntary fire brigades, the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Legionowo (municipality) (‘TSO Legionowo’) is a uniformed fire protection unit equipped with specialised equipment designed to combat fires, natural disasters or other local threats, including specialised rescue activities. It acts in the form of an association within the meaning of the Associations Act and represents a resource of local public benefit organisations with statutory tasks for public security. TSO Legionowo carries out numerous tasks within the National Rescue and Firefighting System. In 2022, the entity participated in 410 events: 40 fires, 344 local threats, 26 false alarms. TSO Legionowo is a formation of 50 ordinary members, including 35 rescue firefighters entitled to participate directly in rescue operations and operations. 33 people are trained in the field of technical rescue, the Qualified First Aid course has 22 people, including 5 members are PRM rescuers. He has a Youth Fire Team, which consists of 30 bridesmaids and bridesmaids. The existing state and quality of the technical facilities of the unit still makes it necessary to improve it in order to increase the combat readiness of the unit and equip it with new specialist equipment. The average age of rescue vehicles of medium and heavy craft is 10 years. The main area of activity of the TSO Legionowo includes the municipalities of Legionowo, Wieliszew, Serock, Nieporęt, Jabłonna (the area of the Legionowo district). In special situations, it can be extended. This area includes part of NATURA 2000 - Valley of the Central Vistula PLB140004.
