Purchase of zero-emission rolling stock with expansion of charging infrastructure

The aim of the project is to promote a zero-emission economy in Ciechanów through the purchase of 2 zero-emission buses with the expansion of infrastructure for charging vehicles by 31.12.2027. 1) increasing the share of electric vehicles in the rolling stock of ZKM C-nów Sp. z o.o. for public transport by 5.71%, 2) expanding the existing infrastructure by 4 new recharging points for zero-emission vehicles. As part of the planned project, technical conditions were obtained from the transmission network operator, on the basis of which the implementing project was developed, a water law declaration, a declaration of org. responsible for monitoring NATURA 2000 areas and a technical specification for the purchase of zero-emission rolling stock were obtained. The applicant shall have the full tender documentation necessary to initiate the public procurement procedure. The main objective of the transport policy of the city of C-new is to create conditions for the smooth and safe movement of people and goods, while ensuring priority for collective transport and reducing the burden of transport on the environment. Eliminating exhaust-producing vehicles is one of the fastest and most effective ways to get rid of pollutants. As a result of the project, CO2 emissions will be reduced by 29.03 tonnes CO2eq/year (reduction). Currently, ZKM has 35 buses for public transport, including 3 electric buses, which account for 8.58 % of the total fleet. After the implementation of the project, the share of electric rolling stock will increase by 5.71%. The average age of rolling stock is 12 years. Buses are powered by diesel. The vehicles are operated in the city of C-nów and enter the area of four neighbouring municipalities with which the Municipality of Ciechanów has signed agreements. After analyzing passenger torrents on the current lines, the need to purchase electric buses of the MIDI class with a length of 8.5-9.5 meters, intended for at least 45 passengers, including at least 20 seats, of which at least 2 special seats available from the low floor for passengers without having to travel any steps inside the bus, was determined. In addition, the project will expand the existing infrastructure with 4 new recharging points for zero-emission vehicles. The implementation of this task will take place on the basis of the concluded loan agreement of 23.05.2024. real estate for free use in order to build cabinets powering bus charging stations. ZKM operates 11 public transport lines from 0 to 11 and additional lines that run on public holidays K and M. The zero-emission rolling stock purchased under the project will be used to operate the new line 14 (serving 3 municipalities: Ciechanów-city, Ciechanów-village, Opinogóra Górna) and will increase the frequency of line 6 by additional courses. The new line 14 will provide a connection to rail transport as part of the interchange at the ‘Ciechanów Główny’ railway station, under which P&R operates with 290 parking spaces. The transport lines operated by the rolling stock purchased as part of the project will provide a connection (transferability) with ordinary bus stops in the city. The project will be implemented in a medium-sized city threatened with the loss of socio-economic functions (pos. 96). The project is included in the list of integrated projects for dedicated calls (MSIT). It is included in the Strategy for the Development of the Trans-local Urban Partnership of the Ciechanów Functional Area on p. 95 under the heading. 1 p.m.: ‘Purchase of zero- and low-emission rolling stock with charging infrastructure for electric vehicles’, adopted by Resolution No 726/LXXII/2023 of the Ciechanów City Council of 26 October 2023. This strategy is the appropriate urban mobility planning document in the Ciechanów MOF area. It follows from the above that the implementation of the project will contribute to the specific objective FEM 2021-2027.
