Construction of Park & Ride at Ciechanów Industrial Railway Station

The subject of the project is the construction of a public parking lot Park&Ride at the Ciechanów Industrial Railway Station (PKP CP) with parking spaces at ul. Factory in Ciechanów. The scope of the project was separated from the technical documentation for the construction of the municipal road No. 120144W ul. Fabryczna in Ciechanów with the construction of P&R and bicycle roads (final, final decision). The project is in line with the lines of action of Strategic Objective II – Low-emission Transport System of the "Transport Plan of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship in the perspective until 2030". The project will promote collective and zero-emission communication, a bus connection will be launched in ul. Fabryczna, it will be possible to change to the train, bus, bike, car and pedestrian communication. The railway station CP is located in the industrial district of the city, outside the center. It does not have direct connections with bicycle paths, there is no parking infrastructure and bus connections in ul. It's a factory one. The commuting of the residents of MOF C-nowa to work in and around Warsaw has become a daily reality. Unfortunately, the lack of public transport infrastructure hinders and worsens access conditions. People who come to work in Ciechanów also have a problem with proper communication. The main objective of the project is to provide the residents of the city and municipalities of MOF C-nowa with access to sustainable urban mobility infrastructure in the area of the Ciechanów Przemysłowy railway station (until 31.12.2027. Specific objectives to be achieved by 31.12.2027: 1) providing the possibility of leaving the motorized means of transport at 52 parking spaces in the P&R system and 38 parking spaces along Fabryczna Street (including 7 for the ON) 2) enabling leaving 30 bicycles under a covered shelter in the B&R system 3) increasing the safety of the left means of transport by lighting the area and monitoring P&R and the B&R 4 fence) launching public transport on ul. Fabryczna, with the provision of transfers at two covered bus stops at P&R and P&B 5) providing the possibility of direct access to the resulting infrastructure by non-motorized means of transport from 2 directions 6) providing access to the ON infrastructure by building parking spaces for ON and passenger information systems at both stops with a hands-free function. The project results from the Development Strategy of the Trans-local Partnership MOF Ciechanów. The scope of the project is included in Table 6. List of integrated projects under Objective 1 Sustainable mobility ‘Construction of Park&Ride with a network of road connections and pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure at the Industrial Railway Station ’. The strategy is a document on urban transport planning, which received a positive opinion from the MA. The investment will be connected to two public transport modes, i.e. rail and buses. The limitation of car traffic is visible especially at car parks combined with an attractive offer of rail transport. Activities aimed at increasing the number of parking spaces through the construction of Parkuj i Jedź car parks translate into an increase in the efficiency of the transport system, including, above all, the popularization of public transport, thanks to which commuting time is reduced. The construction of the car park will contribute to reducing emissions of air pollutants, vibrations and noise and reduce congestion in road traffic by reducing travel by passenger cars. The implemented action will improve traffic flow and reduce the negative impact of transport on the environment. The project will be implemented in the area of strategic intervention (SIA) designated in the National Strategy for Regional Development (NRS) and resulting from the Development Strategy for the Mazowieckie Voivodeship 2030+, i.e. it will be implemented in a medium-sized city at risk of losing socio-economic functions (Annex 2 to the NRSF).
