Subject of the project – adaptation of the Marshal Stanisław Małachowski LO in Płock (LO) to the needs of people with special educational needs. The material scope includes the modernization of the gymnasium in terms of thermomodernization and renovation with the necessary equipment, marking the facility and equipping the educational institution with the necessary ICT equipment. The project will be implemented in Płock, ul. Małachowski 1. The high school is located in the area of the historic urban-architectural complex and cultural layers of the city of Płock (entry into the register of monuments under No. 51/182/59W). LO is one of the oldest schools in Poland, located in the historic buildings of the former College and the former College in Płock. The Collegiate building dates back to the Romanesque times of the 12th and 13th centuries, the College building dates back to 1672-85. Currently, the LO complex consists of buildings A, B, C and D. The direct objective is to improve the accessibility of the Marshal Stanisław Małachowski LO in Płock to the needs of people with special educational needs by 2026. Specific objectives: a) ensuring the accessibility of the High School's gymnasium by 2026 for people with special educational needs by performing the necessary modernization and renovation works and purchasing the necessary equipment of the hall, b) improving the accessibility of the High School's facilities by 2026 for people with special needs by purchasing equipment and making the necessary markings c) equipping the High School's studio by 2026 with ICT equipment enabling high-level learning taking into account the diverse educational and development needs of students. Other objectives: -creating a model in terms of accessibility, quality of infrastructure and equipment of a post-primary education institution based on the resources of historical and cultural heritage. -create conditions for improving the quality of education based on innovative teaching methods using modern information and communication technologies. The assumptions of the project are directly in line with the European Funds for Mazovia 2021-2027 programme, Priority V - European Funds for a higher quality of life in Mazovia, Measure 5.1 Accessibility of schools for people with special needs, Project type: Adapting public schools to the needs of people with special educational needs. The need to implement the project is confirmed by a diagnosis of needs and deficits and an accessibility audit based on the Available School Model. The project is the first stage of introducing solutions resulting from the availability audit in the LO. Key problem: Limited availability of the March LO St. Małachowski in Płock for the needs of people with special educational needs 1.Unsatisfactory technical condition of the gymnasium in terms of energy efficiency and accessibility for students with special educational needs 2.Energy losses caused by poor technical condition of the gymnasium, high operating costs 3.Unsuitable to the needs of students temperature level in classes conducted in the gymnasium 4.Failures in the equipment and marking of the school in relation to the accessibility standards contained in the Model Available School 5.Old ICT equipment in IT laboratories The need for the implementation of the project is justified by technical and health arguments. Scientific research proves that failure to maintain the required thermal comfort, inadequate air circulation and excessive air humidity in rooms is the cause of, among others, headaches and dizziness, problems with concentration, respiratory diseases. These elements reduce the quality and comfort of indoor learning. The implementation of the project will contribute to the development of digital competences of students, who in the future, entering the labour market, will create the foundations of a competitive and innovative economy. The project meets the criteria of access and substantive assessment. In accordance with the instructions of the completed application, the justification is provided in the SW chapter. 2.
