The project results from the Development Strategy of the Trans-local Urban Partnership of the Ciechanów Functional Area. The scope of the project is included in Table 6. List of integrated projects under Objective 2. Tourism, culture and the offer of free time in the project entitled ‘Development and promotion of day and weekend tourism in the MOF’. The aim of the project is to broaden access to education and cultural activity in Ciechanów through the development of infrastructure for conducting new forms and services of participation in culture until 31.08.2026. The project assumes the modernization and retrofitting of the premises of the COEK Studio building and the restoration of elements of the displaced historic wooden residential building in order to give them new cultural functions and provide access for people with disabilities. The objective will be pursued through the following tasks: 1. Creation of facilities for the development of services in COEK Studio 1.1. Modernisation, fitting-out of the COEK Studio Building In order to increase accessibility, including for persons with disabilities, it is planned to: - creation of a new exhibition space (now a corridor), - renovation of a dance hall, music hall, warehouse, - furnishing and adaptation of gallery rooms, theatre hall and social room, - renovation of stairs, balcony and terrace, - fencing of the area, - replacement of roofing, insulation, installation of photovoltaic panels - extension of the offer provided online: a) Studio Station – creation of a radio station in the recording studio at COEK Studio, in order to actively educate high school students and seniors in the field of journalism and the implementation and publication of materials both in the ether and online. The radio will be cultural – all information will be about upcoming, current and past cultural events in the city. New technologies, social media, local media and drones will be used; as part of the radio will be implemented min: – Readings? – WE WILL HELP!’ – cyclical reading activities consisting in the recording of films – ‘Studio – Inspirations over coffee’ – a series of interviews with the inhabitants of the city of Ciechanów in Klubokawiarnia W18 – ONLINE Calendar – creation of a virtual calendar of cultural events in the city of Ciechanów. The service is described in more detail in the Feasibility Study. 1.2. Adaptation of the space at the COEK Studio to create a ‘summer scene’. It is planned to develop the area by creating walking paths adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, plan space for the creation of a ‘summer scene’, install benches, plant greenery, replace the fence. 2. Restoration works on the relocated historic wooden building with its equipment in order to change the way of use. The building was erected around 1880 during the construction of the Vistula Railway as a residential building for locomotive workers. Until November 2009, it remained the property of PKP, since 2012 it has been under conservation protection under entry in the register of immovable monuments of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship by Decision No 1358/2012 of 31 December 2012. MWKZ issued Decision No 67/DC/2018 for the relocation of the immovable monument and gave a positive opinion on the new location. According to the technical documentation, the building will preserve the old style with rich ornamentation in Russian aesthetics, typical of wooden buildings of the Vistula Railway. Currently, its reconstruction is taking place (financed from the funds of the Government Program for the Reconstruction of Monuments). The project plans to include works related to the restoration of the ceiling, roof covering, windows, doors, interior of the facility, equipment and land development in connection with the new cultural and educational function. As a result of the project, residents-friendly places will be created that perform cultural and recreational functions, conducive to improving their quality of life. The project foresees 4 new services: exhibition space with plastic facilities service, "Active Senior" service, new museum facilities and cultural radio.
