From the outbreak of the war to 31 August this year, 15,298 million people entered Poland from Ukraine, of which nearly 1,721 million were registered for temporary protection. From 2014 to VI.2023, the number of Ukrainian citizens with a valid residence permit in Poland increased from 41,000 to over 1.46 million. Such a large diaspora and geographical proximity are a strong pull factor for those fleeing the war. Among the 957288 citizens of Ukraine currently under temporary protection, 74% are K. Among adults, K is 77%. L. citizens of Ukraine holding valid residence permits on the territory of the Republic of Poland amounts to 1467056 and account for 80% of the population of foreigners. [O.J. Ds. foreigners]. Zg. from Sources. In the years 2021-23, 538573 foreigners lived in WM, of which as many as 291052 are foreigners from Ukraine [155025K]. According to the Ministry of Interior and Administration data (9.07.2023), the largest number of refugees with active PESEL numbers is in WM (211693). In connection with the above-mentioned situation in the country and in the RM, the main problem and at the same time the challenge is to cope with the mass influx of Ukrainian citizens and to organize their stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland. One of the most important elements is the adaptation of these people and their integration into society.
