Development of an innovative composite scattered reinforcement based on glass roving and resin as a substitute material for traditional steel and polypropylene reinforcements based on the PN-EN 14889-2:2007 standard

The aim of the project is to develop an innovative composite reinforcement of scattered concrete in the form of fibers defined in the PN-EN 14889-2:2007 standard, which will show higher strength than currently used steel and polypropylene fibers, and additionally will show the characteristics of micro and macro fibers at the same time. The first stage of the project will focus on the design and construction of key technological elements of the line for the production of research material. Next, fibres with modified resin will be produced, which will be examined and tested for the material properties of the fibres and the impact of the fibres on the consistency and strength in concrete samples. The project will identify and address any potential challenges related to fibre production. The next step will be to reflect the technology on a macro scale, i.e. the operating environment. As a result of the project, one product innovation (1 pc.) will be implemented on a national scale. The results will be implemented by starting production as part of the Applicant's own activity. The implementation of the project will allow the successful creation of a cost-effective, more ecological and more durable dispersed composite reinforcement, which can be adopted in the construction industry.
