The aim of the project is to implement the assumptions of the Air Quality Plan for the Małopolska Region by creating a service point for residents and employing an eco-manager. As part of the project, an eco-manager will be employed in the amount of 1 full-time for 36 months, local information and educational campaigns will be conducted in the field of climate protection, improvement of air quality and implementation of anti-smog resolutions dedicated to each social group. Each year, a minimum of 4 information and educational activities will be organized during events organized by the Zakopane City Hall for residents of the commune, meetings with residents, etc. During these events, there will be a special stand with materials for raising the environmental awareness of residents, devoted to the subject of air protection, climate in the municipality, support programs available for the elimination of low emissions, the use of RES, etc., so that everyone can individually take steps to improve the state of the environment. In addition, each year a minimum of 2 meetings will be organized with opinion-forming groups such as the Voluntary Fire Brigade, parish priests of Zakopane parishes, directors and teachers of Zakopane educational institutions, representatives of the Tatra National Park, etc. The tasks of the eco-manager will include conducting advisory and information and educational activities in the field of RES, energy efficiency, heating sources, available subsidy programs, anti-smog resolution, instruction / assistance for residents in completing grant applications and their settlement (in particular for excluded people). These actions will be further developed by: coordinating the implementation of the adopted air quality strategy (Air Quality Plan for the Malopolska Region) in order to ensure the sustainability and efficiency of the activities carried out; conducting information and education campaigns among members of local communities, activating opinion-forming circles and direct transmission to the city's residents, providing assistance to people in financial difficulties in obtaining funding for investments in improving the energy efficiency of residential buildings and through education in the field of energy savings; raising external funds for the municipality, which will then be used for initiatives to improve air quality; encouraging residents to use available financial instruments to replace inefficient heating boilers or to carry out thermal renovation of residential buildings; direct advisory assistance to residents in the field of replacement of the c.o. and c.w.u. source and energy modernisation of the building; updating the CEEB on the basis of data provided by building owners and managers. As part of the task, there will be a service point for residents of the municipality for environmental education, energy advice, subsidy programs, etc., which will be open at least 96 hours a month, 1 fixed day a week for at least 8 clock hours. The point will meet the requirements of health and safety regulations and the provisions of the Act on ensuring accessibility for people with special needs, will have space to properly perform services and a place to display information and promotional materials. The point will be located in the seat (building) of the municipality at ul. Tadeusza Kościuszki 13, 34-500 Zakopane. In addition, as part of the project, it is also planned to adapt the room to the residents' service point in the municipality and cover the costs of equipment, i.e. furniture, the purchase of computer equipment.
