Support for the energy transition of Małopolskie voivodship municipalities

The project aims to support the sustainable development of the region by implementing innovative solutions that will contribute to climate protection and improvement of air quality. The main activities focus on education, promotion and introduction of effective energy solutions, as well as the involvement of local communities in the energy transition process. As part of the project, various educational activities are planned for representatives of local government units (LGUs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Participants will have the opportunity to take part in trainings, workshops, meetings and conferences on the energy transition. In particular, two-semester postgraduate studies will be organized for Eco-managers and employees of municipalities and units involved in the implementation of the Air Quality Plan, which will allow participants to gain extensive practical and theoretical knowledge, including in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and air protection, etc. It is expected that studies will allow for the education of a maximum of 120 people, which will contribute to the increase in the number of qualified specialists in the voivodship. In addition to postgraduate studies, it is planned to organize 12 editions of trainings for Eco-managers and JST employees, which will concern, among others, thermal imaging camera research, financing pro-ecological activities, environmental education and air protection, etc. The trainings will take place in a stationary form or with an online transmission, and will be attended by about 1400 people. In addition, workshops for chimney sweeps and municipal guards will be organized as part of eight series, in which an average of 30 people will take part each time. The workshop will focus on obtaining data related to the Central Emission Register of Buildings and control and verification of emission sources. Coordination meetings are planned throughout the project to exchange knowledge and systematise activities. The meetings will be addressed to JST employees and Eco-managers, and each time they will gather an average of 30 participants. In order to increase the competences of the participants, four study visits are also planned, including two in the country and two abroad, for an average of 50 people each. These will be trips to public institutions and industrial plants, which will allow you to gain practical knowledge and establish valuable contacts for the development of municipalities and the voivodship. In order to raise the environmental awareness of the inhabitants of Małopolska, the project assumes carrying out three regional information campaigns, which will concern air quality, energy efficiency and topics (e.g. environmental) related to the implementation of the project, etc. Campaigns will include a variety of communication channels, such as radio, press, television and social media. In addition, it is planned to annually develop information materials, such as leaflets, posters and brochures, which will serve to improve the education of residents and ensure the information and educational needs of all groups of residents. As part of the project, a new website will be created, which will act as an effective information channel, allowing residents to better understand the problem of air protection. Air quality monitoring will also be an important element of the project, which aims to increase residents' awareness of pollution. As part of this task, large-format LED panels will be launched, informing about air quality, as well as air quality meters will be installed in municipalities. In addition, the project assumes the rental of a mobile laboratory for measuring pollution in Małopolska spas. The results of these studies will be published on the project's website, which will allow residents to track the state of air quality in the region on an ongoing basis. Cd. U
