Program to increase the use of renewable energy sources and improve the quality of the environment within NATURA 2000 areas, Suski District - stage V, energy storage

The application concerns electricity storage facilities which will be constructed under the umbrella programme within 100 residential buildings (99 storage facilities with a capacity of approximately 3.6 kW, 1 storage facility with a capacity of 8.5 kW) and 3 public buildings (W. Goetel School Complex in Sucha Beskidzka, storage facility with a capacity of not more than 31.1 kW, High School in Sucha Beskidzka, storage facility with a capacity of not more than 33.1 KW, District Labour Office in Sucha Beskidzka, storage facility with a capacity of not more than 18.48 kW). Installations have capacities ranging from approximately 4.2 kW to 9.9 kW. Residents presented the amount of electricity consumption in the form of a statement. The applicant obtained guidance from TAURON, which shows that the storage capacity and the capacity of the installation add up and cannot exceed the contractual capacity, so that there is no change in the provisions of the contract. The presented amounts of electricity consumption in each building are limited to no more than the power of the PV installation at the connection point, the connection power. The project assumes the installation of energy storages together with the accompanying works necessary for the proper cooperation of the existing PV installation with the designed energy storage. The dismantling of elements of existing PV installations is not foreseen. The project is implemented in 9 localities in the Suski District, within which there are 8 areas covered by the form of nature protection or areas of natural value indicated in the landscape audit project. The project is implemented in municipalities within which the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve is located, NATURA 2000 - Babia Góra area. The applicant shall be a member of the Protection Coordination Board of the said area. The project is being implemented in marginalised municipalities.
