"Expansion of the transport hub with access roads in the Owintar region - stage I"

The main objective of the project is to improve the road infrastructure network at district level in connection with the development of urban mobility (facilitating the movement of public transport vehicles) and to improve access to the TEN-T network and the railway junction in Tarnów (including other sustainable transport branches - P&R in Tarnów). The aim of this task is to make a facility that meets safety standards and improve traffic conditions and safety on the road, improve the condition of the surface and drainage and lighting of the road, ensure the safety of pedestrian traffic, as well as improve the accessibility of the road. The recipients of the products and results of the projects will be primarily residents of the Małopolskie voivodship, in particular the City of Tarnów and towns located on the southern and western side of the city. The investment will directly improve traffic conditions and indirectly provide a connection to the railway siding located in the area of the former ‘Owintar’ Fruit and Vegetable Processing Plant. The scope of the investment includes the reconstruction of the communication system in the city center, i.e. at the intersection of Krakowska, Narutowicza and Sikorskiego streets. As a result of the investment, a communication system will be created consisting of a turbine roundabout and other elements of the road lane and associated infrastructure. The road and its surroundings will be adapted to technical conditions, equipped with separate traffic routes for motor vehicles and pedestrians and cyclists. The introduced visible segregation of individual groups of road users, the increase in the number of lanes and the expansion of the intersection inlet will directly improve safety and contribute to the improvement of the aesthetic and functional shaping of public space in the urban zone. Underground pedestrian crossing under Sikorskiego street will obviously contribute to a significant increase in safety in this place and to increase traffic flow. The site's armament will be adapted to the new development of the site. Reconstruction of the roundabout involves making a medium, turbine roundabout. Rondo will have a central island with a ring. The planned design solutions will provide full service for pedestrians and cyclists. As part of the investment, roads leading to the designed turbine roundabout will be made. All roads will have a one- or two-day street cross-section. The road will consist, among others, of such elements as: roadway, pavement, bicycle path, parking bay, bus bay, shunting road, public and individual exit, fuse. The drainage of roads is designed as a system of drains connected in the rainwater drainage system, water drainage will be possible through transverse and longitudinal slopes of the roadway and pavement. The designed sewage system takes into account water retention in channels with increased diameter, using flow regulators. The project assumes the construction of road lighting to increase visibility and improve safety, and the construction of a technological channel for road information. As part of the investment, an underground passage will be made. The designed passageway has a reinforced concrete support structure. The interior of the passage is equipped with lighting and monitoring cameras. Stairs will lead to the passage and two elevators have been designed to provide access to the passage for people with disabilities. Three buildings in collision with the designed road system will be demolished. In connection with the design of the new layout, the accompanying networks will be rebuilt. Planned total value of the project: PLN 28 812 614.40, including the value of eligible costs: 28 812 614,40zł.
