The project entitled ‘Improving the infrastructure of secondary schools providing vocational education in the Suski district’ will be implemented by the Suski District under the European Funds for Małopolska 2021 – 2027 programme (Priority 5. European Funds supporting social infrastructure, Measure 5.3 Vocational training infrastructure type A. Support for vocational secondary school infrastructure), financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Its aim is to adapt the vocational training system of the Suski district to the challenges of the modern economy and the expectations of the regional labour market. The project consists in creating new workshops and adapting existing rooms to professional workshops with facilities for people with disabilities and equipping vocational schools with the equipment necessary to properly teach professions and conduct external professional examinations. An element of the project is to improve the accessibility to the services and offer of schools for people with special needs, including people with physical disabilities. The construction of elevators envisaged as part of these activities will make it easier for people with special needs to reach individual floors and enable them to move safely and independently in school buildings. The planned activities will significantly improve the level of quality of vocational education in schools run by the Suski district, which will translate directly into the results of vocational exams and an increase in the competences and skills of future graduates of technicians and industry first-cycle schools. The project includes 3 schools located in the Suski district, i.e. The W. Witos School Complex in Sucha Beskidzka, on the basis of which the Vocational Training Centre No 2 – ul. Spółdzielców 1, W. Goetl School Complex in Sucha Beskidzka, on the basis of which the Vocational Training Centre No 1 – ul. Kościelna 5, Fr. Mr. Dańkowski in Jordanów, ul. Gen. It's poppy 131.
