The project concerns the creation of the first training apartment in the Commune of Słomniki. The apartment will be created in the building of the former railway station. The entire ground floor will be dedicated to the needs of people staying in the training apartment. The apartment has 3 rooms with an area of 12 to 14 m2 each. The apartment has a shared kitchen, bathroom and training room. In addition, a room has been created in which residents will be able to benefit from individual consultations/therapy. The training apartment will be located on the ground floor of the building and will be free of architectural barriers. Additional description under U. Specific information. The location of the apartment allows access to public transport (bus stop and railway station in the immediate vicinity), recreational areas (at a distance of about 850m there is a bicycle path, the so-called promenade, at a distance of about 2 km swimming pool in Januszowice with places for fishing, about 2.5 km swimming pool, approx. 2.5 km Municipal Cultural Centre, approx. 3 km library), retail and service outlets (approximately 1.6 km are located various retail and service outlets such as: Biedronka, PSB Mrówka, Żabka, Delicatessen Centrum, Cooperative Bank in Słomniki, approx. 2.5 km Municipal Municipal Cultural Centre, recreational and sports hall, Labour Office of the District of Krakow, Department of Municipal and Housing Management, Municipal Office in Słomniki, Caritas, GOPS, approx. 3 km library, playground, catering points), clinic (about 3 km) - recreational areas and commercial and service points can be reached by bus, from the PKP Słomniki stop to PKP Osiedle. The applicant is the Municipality of Słomniki, for which, as local government units, the Municipal Self-Government Act lists its own tasks to be fulfilled. Among them, some of the most important tasks were mentioned in the field of social assistance, including care centers and institutions, as well as supporting the family and the foster care system. It must therefore be concluded that the Municipality of Słomniki is an entity referred to in Article 53(3) of the Social Welfare Act of 12 March 2004. The Commune of Słomniki belongs to IIT Otulina Podkrakowska, whose strategy does not provide for the implementation of projects in type A. Assisted and training housing. The project consists in creating a training apartment in premises that did not fulfil the function of assisted, training or protected apartments. The project consists in redeveloping and changing the use of the building in which the railway station was located. The building is located in Słomniki at ul. Railway station at the active railway station. In the immediate vicinity of this building there is a bus stop, where buses launched by the Municipality of Słomniki under the Bus Transport Development Fund stop - a total of 15 trips to the center of Słomnik and 15 return trips. Currently, one line is served by buses adapted to the transport of people with special needs. The contract with carriers is valid until the end of 2024. From 2025, the lines will be operated by vehicles enabling the transport of people with special needs, including wheelchair users. In addition, it should be noted that the municipality has a means of transport dedicated to wheelchair users - it is a car purchased under the DOOR-TO-DOOR project. The level of people benefiting from environmental social assistance in terms of the share of people in households benefiting from environmental social assistance in the total population according to GUS data available in the Local Data Bank for the Commune of Słomniki in 2022 was 2.6%.
