The main objective of the project ‘Małopolska Centre for Social Economy Support – City of Kraków’ (MOWES) is to increase the level of employment in the social economy sector in the city of Kraków by creating 124 jobs in social enterprises between 01.11.2023 and 30.06.2029. The project will be implemented by an accredited Partnership composed of: 1. Foundation for the Economy and Public Administration (FGAP)-Leader (Applicant) 2. Agencja Rozwoju Małopolski Zachodni S.A. (ARMZ)–Partner 1 3. Foundation Bureau of Social Initiatives (BIS)-Partner 2 4. Foundation for the Development of Local Democracy Małopolska Institute of Local Self-Government and Administration (MISTiA) – Partner 3 The project is planned to implement four tasks, which cover all areas of support services for social economy entities indicated in the Social Economy Act of 5.08.2022 (Art. 1; further: Law), i.e.: Activity 1: LOCAL ANIMATION - implemented by BIS in cooperation with MISTIA and FGAP, covers the area of local animation (pursuant to Art. 1 point 1 of the law). Activity 2: CREATION OF NEW SOCIAL ECONOMY ENTITIES AND NEW SOCIAL ENTERPRISES AND CREATION OF NEW WORKING PLACES – implemented by MISTIA, covers the area of: creation of social economy entities and social enterprises (pursuant to Art. 1 point 2 of the Act) and the area of support for social enterprises in public procurement procedures (Art. 1 point 4 of the law). Task 3: FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SOCIAL ENTERPRISES AND SOCIAL ECONOMY ENTITIES AND SUPPORT FOR REINTEGRATIONAL ACTIVITIES – implemented by ARMZ and MISTIA, covers the area of financing job creation in FVCs (Art. 1 point 2 of the Act) as well as the area of support for reintegration activities (in accordance with Art. 1 point 3 of the Act). Task 4: SUPPORT FOR EXISTING SOCIAL ECONOMIC ENTITIES AND SOCIAL ENTERPRISES – implemented by FGAP and MISTIA, covers the area of: strengthening the human, financial and innovative capacity of social economy entities and social enterprises and providing them with business support (Art. 1 point 5 of the Act) as well as the area of: support for social economy entities and social enterprises in public procurement procedures (Art. 1 point 4 of the law). The structure of project tasks adopted in this way results from the areas of support for the ES sector, experience and specialization of partners, as well as support paths for people and entities constituting the target group of the project. The target group of the project are: a) social economy entities (including social enterprises), b) employees and managers of social economy entities (including social enterprises), c) natural persons and legal persons who plan to establish a social economy entity, d) environment of the social economy sector. The main results of the project will be: - min. 124 new jobs created in social enterprises for people at risk of social exclusion (pursuant to Article 2(6) of the Act) - an increase in activity in local communities and better cross-sectoral cooperation in Krakow through the creation of min. 35 new social economy entities and new social enterprises in Krakow. increasing the level of socio-occupational integration of at least 124 new employees of Krakow social enterprises, - increasing the human, financial, innovative, business and public procurement potential of at least 104 Krakow social economy entities (including social enterprises).
