The project of reconstruction of the railway station in Gorzów assumes modernization of the existing facility to adapt it to the modern transport needs of the inhabitants of the Chełmek commune. A key aspect of the project is to facilitate access to rail transport, increase regional mobility and promote low-emission public transport. The aim of the project is to restore the original function of the railway station in Gorzów, adapted to modern needs in the field of collective transport of residents of the Chełmek commune. The main objectives are to facilitate access to rail transport, improve regional mobility and promote low-emission public transport. As part of the project, a comprehensive modernization of the station building is planned, including the installation of modern waiting rooms, public toilets, including for the disabled, and spaces intended to serve travelers. Particular attention was paid to adapting the station and its surroundings to the needs of people with disabilities in order to ensure equal access to transport infrastructure for all users. In addition, the project includes the construction of parking spaces, including for disabled people at the station building, to support the rotation of parking vehicles, and their number has been designed in an accessible area with the expected number of users in mind. The project includes modern technical and architectural solutions. It is planned to make optimal use of the space in the existing building, while introducing modern standards of accessibility and security. The modernization will include the introduction of effective heating systems, new electrical and teletechnical installations, which will contribute to better functionality and comfort of use of the station. In addition, a lot of emphasis is placed on ecological solutions, including the use of environmentally friendly materials and technologies that will contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions. The planned costs of the project assume optimization of expenses while maintaining high standards of quality and functionality. Ultimately, the reconstruction of the station in Gorzów will contribute to increasing the accessibility of rail transport in the region, improving the mobility of residents and reducing the environmental burden.
