Advanced BGA Aircraft Compressor System with 45,000ft Altitude Capacity

As part of the project, a global product innovation will be developed in the form of an innovative new-generation compressor module for turboprop aircraft in the Business and General Aviation (BGA) segment. This innovation will enable the operation of a turboprop engine with a power of up to 1311 shp in the altitude of 45,000 ft, previously unavailable for BGA aircraft. It will allow lower fuel consumption compared to the competition (and thus lower emissions) and stable operation of the engine using SAF (Stable Fuel) fuel. Sustainable Aviation Fuel. It will be the first product of this class to allow flights at this altitude, thus creating a new market. In addition, the result of the Project will be used in aircraft used to transport rescue teams, medicines or other cargo critical for human health, such as organs for transplantation. The project will be implemented by GE Aerospace Poland (hereinafter: Company, Applicant, GEAP), employing a team of highly qualified specialists in the field of modern aviation propulsion technologies. The result of the Project will be directly implemented in the engines of the new generation of the BGA segment. The result of the Project will be implemented by granting a license on market terms to an entity from the GE Group, which will be responsible for the implementation on the market of the engine with the compressor developed as part of the Project. The implementation of work on product innovation also gives a unique opportunity to develop process innovation on a global scale. It will take the form of software using artificial intelligence to automatically analyze the vibrations of parts of the compressor module. The innovation will be implemented in GEAP's own operations and will support the engineers' work on new products, improving the efficiency and quality of work. The project concerns the development of eco-innovation and digital innovation, which will contribute to building climate neutrality of the aviation industry and the development of modern digital solutions.
