As a result of the implementation of this project, a unique solution (innovation on a global scale) of specialized computing platforms for the architecture of cars defined by software will be created. The project assumes development works providing hardware solutions for automotive electronics devices, electric architecture of the car, providing adequate computing power. Innovative devices will enable remote modification of the software. without the need to replace equipment throughout the life of the vehicle, which is a unique solution for digital innovation. In the course of the considered works, specialized computing platforms will be created: Zonalne controllers - acting as devices collecting data from car sensors (i.e. opening doors, activating functions: lights, comfort, etc.) and controlling loads, which in the new architect will integrate many functionalities, requiring the work of several separate devices so far. Central Controllers – acting as decision-making devices responsible for the key functions of the car: bodywork, active driver assistance and entertainment. The global innovation will consist in the creation of the electric architecture of the car based on the Zonal and Central Controllers, which will allow to reduce the number of devices and electronic, mechanical and connection cable components. In addition, the implemented software architecture will allow the separation of the logic of applications controlling functionalities from the implementation so that extending the functionality of the car during its life is possible thanks to software changes, including using cloud solutions (extending the life of the car). As part of the project, it is also planned to integrate two innovative functionalities into the controllers, demonstrating the usefulness of the platform, i.e. charging an electric car and keyless access to the car using the phone. The target group are automotive manufacturers with implementations in 2028-2030.
