Development of innovative designs of medium and high voltage switchgear in gas insulation (based on an innovative, environmentally friendly gas mixture with increased dielectric strength) with rated voltages of 24kV and 145kV respectively

The aim of the project is to develop switchgear and switchgear, i.e. switchgears: -average voltage(SN) up to 24kV -high voltage(WN) up to 145kV using environmentally friendly gas insulation. As part of the project, research will be carried out to enable the development of a replacement for the SF6 gas banned from 01.01.2024 in the EU, which, while maintaining insulating properties (the new mixture will eventually reach 10-15% higher dielectric strength than dry air) would be environmentally friendly and would not have a negative impact on the lifetime of distribution and switching equipment. The project would result in the creation of SN and WN cameras, i.e. switches and three-position switches free of SF6, respectively. Based on the results of the research, a family of switchgears with 24kV and 145kV voltages would be developed corresponding to market requirements and EU regulations. The implementation of the project will develop the innovativeness of the company and the centers of sciences taking part in it - will expand their product offer and contribute to the promotion of pro-ecologist. techn solutions. In addition, the SN switchgear will be distinguished by unique pairs. in its class for arc-protection (25kA/1,2s), short-circuit strength (25kA/3,5s)installed electroenerg. and control equipment (IEC-61850 version 2.1), arc-short circuit detector in the GOOSE P2/P3 class, temperature increase measurement system and partial discharge detector. Thanks to this, an innovative, ecological solution will be created for the electroenerg. industry with increased safety. exploitation. The project scope includes the use of an innovative mixture for gas insulation. in new designs of switchgear SN and WN. This will allow the construction of small-size distribution fields, and thus reduce the size of the electroenerg station. The airtightness of the compartment containing the devices, i.e. switch and 3-position connector (integrated disconnector-earthing device) affects the high level of operational reliability (isolation from external factors) in switchgear technology.
