Development of an innovative device based on electric tomography impedance spectroscopy for health monitoring

The project assumes the development of an innovative medical device enabling comprehensive measurement of health parameters. The most important innovation within the project is the use of Electric Tomography Impedance Spectroscopy (ETSI) technique to estimate glucose levels. ETSI is a non-invasive technique (as opposed to invasive competitive methods) that uses electrical stimulation to study the physico-chemical properties of the medium, including glucose measurement. Another innovation in relation to the competition is the integration of the device with the RescueNet system. The device will have the ability to communicate with the patient's caregiver and the ability to autonomously call for help by the system in the event of detection of anomalies in medical parameters. The RescueNet system, an innovative safety service, enables immediate medical intervention by properly trained civic rescuers. Thanks to real-time operation, the system notifies the nearest available rescuers in the event of a threat to health or life. The medical device will be additionally equipped with advanced systems for measuring pulse, saturation (SpO2), estimated blood pressure and temperature. It will also be distinguished by a built-in system-on-module enabling precise measurement of medical parameters. The prototype of the device will be subjected to detailed functional tests to ensure that it meets the highest standards of quality and measurement precision. The result of the project will be a complete, mass-produced prototype of a medical device that will revolutionize the way diabetes patients' health is monitored. The device will be easy to use for patients and medical personnel, enabling quick, effective and painless measurement of many health parameters. Integration with the RescueNet system will provide an immediate response when any medical anomaly is detected, which can be decisive for saving the health and lives of patients.
