The WEDROWNIQ project "Polish infrastructure of quantum communication satellite systems assumes the construction of infrastructure for the development, analysis and integration of quantum communication systems operating in free space with particular emphasis on communication in the satellite segment. The solutions developed will be in line with the development concepts of the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure – EuroQCI and its Polish segment with the PIONIER-Q network and scenarios for the use of quantum communication for the purposes of distributed metrology infrastructure and quantum computing developed in the EuroQCS and EuroQSM initiatives. The infrastructure will also enable the development of classic optical satellite communication schemes for fast data exchange, with low latency and advanced satellite tracking methods. The potential of quantum communication ground stations together with the accompanying infrastructure enables the development of new solutions in the field of secure communication systems, general quantum communication and quantum communication for distributed quantum computing.
