"SMARTMED - development of the Medsilesia cluster service offer - digitalisation of medical equipment, Innovation Showroom for medical robotics, transformation on the COIN platform and internationalisation of the product offer"

The subject of the project is the extension of the MedSilesia cluster offer with new services and the improvement of services already implemented through the implementation of product and process innovations using new infrastructure, as well as the internationalization of cluster brand products, which will increase the level of professionalization of services provided by the cluster coordinator to its members. The aim of the project is to develop the potential of the MedSilesia cluster coordinator by: 1. Introduction to the offer of new and improvement of existing services thanks to product and process innovations using newly purchased IT and specialist infrastructure supporting the medical industry 2. Investment activities enabling the expansion of the technical infrastructure of the cluster necessary for the implementation of new/improved services 3. development of the staff team of the cluster coordinator to support, among others, new and improved services. The target group of recipients of new services are members of the cluster, but also companies and units of the R&D sector outside the cluster. The new and improved service offer of the cluster results from an analysis of the needs of the cluster coordinator and its members. Within each of the thematic groups conducted by the cluster, the demand for specific services was analyzed, which confirmed the existing interest in using the newly created Living Lab MedSilesia, within which two new innovative services will be implemented. The project will contribute to a sustainable increase in the infrastructure (technical), personnel, organizational, service and financial potential of the MedSilesia cluster coordinator, including an increase in the potential to provide services to cluster members or manage the network of connections within the cluster. An important aspect related to the purchased infrastructure is the digitalisation of the MedSilesia Cluster, through the implementation of innovations within the service offer, the cluster responds to current trends and expectations of companies. The project is part of the MedSilesia Cluster Development Strategy until 2026, which includes a plan to digitize the cluster. As part of the project, the internationalization service will also be implemented. Its main goal is to increase the competitiveness on foreign markets of 11 Polish manufacturers of medical devices, creators of ICT solutions and services that are used in the area of health as members of the cluster and global promotion of the Medsilesia cluster brand. The scope of the internationalization service includes the professional support of 11 project participants (members of the cluster) regarding the internationalization of these companies by comprehensive organization of trips to participate in international fairs as an exhibitor, in international conferences as a listener and in economic missions. The planned result of these activities will be the acquisition of new business partners, the export of medical services and products/devices and the promotion of cluster members as well as the entire MedSilesia cluster on the European, Asian and American markets in particular.
