Internationalisation of SMEs - BRAND HUB

The COVID-19 pandemic has reduced the activity of entrepreneurs from the SME sector on foreign markets, and additionally the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation as a result of the military aggression against Ukraine have led to a significant reduction in Poland’s trade with Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. Such dynamically changing political and economic conditions force entrepreneurs, especially those belonging to the SME sector, to diversify export markets in order to ensure the stability of the company's operations while minimizing risk. At the same time, Polish entrepreneurs should take advantage of market opportunities that have appeared, i.e. changes in supply chains, digital transformation, increasing use of electronic channels in the internationalization process in connection with the development of cross-border e-commerce. The aim of the project is to increase the development potential of Polish SMEs and increase the volume of exports through their participation in promotional activities on foreign markets. Achieving the objective of the project will be achieved by: • implementation of 15 sectoral promotion programmes aimed at promoting key sectors of the Polish economy in the international arena over a six-year period, i.e. those with high export and innovation potential, as well as being part of the areas of support related to the NSI, constituting the country's competitive advantages; • presentation of the export potential of Poland and the Polish economy during large promotional projects with the involvement of SMEs, industry self-governments, public administration, • providing tools to support the development of digital exports among Polish SMEs. The promotional activities planned in the project are aimed at: • activating SMEs to develop or diversify their export activities to foreign markets, including those with high import potential, • developing and promoting the innovative and export potential of SMEs, • strengthening the recognition of Poland (the Polish Economy-MPG Brand) and Polish SMEs and their products/services on foreign markets, • increasing the number of enterprises with competences and participating in the digital transformation in the field of exports, • increasing the level of exports of SMEs with innovative products and services in their offer. On the one hand, the tasks provided for in the project will ensure the continuity of activities aimed at consolidating the image of Poland by showing the potential of Polish entrepreneurs from key sectors for the economy with high export and innovation potential at the most important promotional events abroad and strengthening and restoring the position of the SME sector on international markets before the pandemic. On the other hand, they will be an opportunity for SMEs to expand their activities and change their business model towards the use of digital tools in export activities, as part of building a competitive advantage.
