The project aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by supporting large and medium-sized enterprises in: - energy retrofitting of company buildings (other than residential buildings), - increasing the energy efficiency of manufacturing processes, - increasing the energy efficiency of utility circulation systems in plants (e.g. cold or hot water system, compressed air system or ventilation system), transport routes and increasing the energy efficiency of auxiliary systems, including e.g. boiler rooms, heat recovery systems from industrial processes or lighting and the installation of RES equipment, as well as the installation of equipment for the production, storage, refuelling or transport of hydrogen, which comply with the scope of Articles 6 and 7 of Regulation 2021/1058 ERDF/CF. In terms of improving the energy efficiency of buildings, the minimum threshold for required primary energy savings, taking into account the scope of the project, is 30% (except for monuments). The scope of activities with regard in particular to company buildings, technical equipment or technological installations and processes must result from energy audits. For comprehensive projects, non-energy audit elements may also be supported if they pursue broader objectives of the European Green Deal, including the Renovation Wave strategy, such as increasing green space (green roofs, walls), developing electro-mobility, circular economy solutions, accessibility infrastructure, installation of energy storage and digitisation equipment for the building. Support for elements going beyond the energy audit will be possible up to 15% of the eligible costs of the project. In addition, it will be possible to finance expenditure on educational activities in projects provided that it is directly related to the project being implemented. The final recipients of support will be large enterprises (other than entities that are energy service providers within the meaning of Directive 2012/27/EU acting on behalf of enterprises) and medium-sized enterprises. It is envisaged to support IFs combined with grants in one operation. The amount of the grant component will depend on the level of energy savings achieved, the detailed conditions for co-financing will be determined by the Investment Strategy on the basis of the ‘Updating the ex-ante evaluation of financial instruments for the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021-2027 programme in the areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources’. Due to the limited character limit in this section, details on the financing conditions of entities that are energy service providers (within the meaning of Directive 2012/27/EU, acting on behalf of undertakings) are set out in the Investment Strategy. The following types of projects will be supported: - energy efficiency and demonstration projects in large enterprises and support actions; - energy efficiency and demonstration projects in SMEs and support actions. Due to the impossibility to select multiple options in section A, in the field "Project area", the above description complements the above field. This project type is consistent with the project types specified in the FEnIKS Programme, the Detailed Description of FEnIKS Priorities and the Project Selection Rules, as well as with the description of the Action (including the above-mentioned objective and scope of intervention and in terms of assigned indicators: reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, reduction of primary energy consumption in enterprises, increase in the amount of electricity and/or heat from RES.) The project is not a strategic operation within the meaning of Art. 5 EU Regulation 2021/1060.
