Implementation of the scope of the project includes the following activities: 1. Substantive advice and reviews of draft plans for the protection of a team of experts from various fields of science, supporting employees of the Maritime Office in Gdynia. 3. Purchase of software and equipment enabling supervision over the implementation of individual tasks, collection of information on species and habitats occurring in the areas of project implementation, control over the execution of commissioned works and storage of a large amount of data on environmental information in the Natura 2000 areas concerned. 4. Marking the boundaries of areas by purchasing and assembling official boards with the names of Natura 2000 areas and sea beacons. 5. Promotion of the project, among others, through the purchase of an information board and articles informing about the implementation of the project in the media. The contractors for these tasks will be selected following a public procurement procedure. The project will be managed by a team composed of employees of the Maritime Office in Gdynia. On 19 March 2024, Gdynia Maritime Office signed a contract with a contractor for the development of draft plans for the Dolina Słupi Special Area of Conservation PLH220052 (sea waters part of the site). The work is scheduled to be completed on 14 October 2024. The update of the draft conservation plans will be based on the documents produced under the project entitled ‘Draft plans for the protection of Natura 2000 sites in the area of the Gulf of Gdańsk and the Vistula Lagoon’, implemented under the OPIE 2007-2014. The resulting nature documentation was collected in the form of management programmes collecting the results of nature analyses and inventories. The time needed for the implementation of the draft conservation plans was estimated on the basis of: - the amount of time needed for the nature inventory, taking into account the seasonality of plant and animal species - the right date and time-consuming participatory workshops. In addition to the first introductory workshop, the working and final workshops will take place after the completion of the inventory to provide complete and reliable information about local resources and natural conditions.
