District heating/cooling system efficient district heating

The project ‘Network for district heating/cooling efficient district heating system’ assumes the achievement of the objective of the FEnIKS Operational Programme, which is to improve the conditions for the development of the country by building technical and social infrastructure in accordance with the assumptions of sustainable development. The project is part of the specific objective ERDF/CF.CP2.I - Promoting energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The above objective will be achieved by: decarbonisation of the economy, including the transition to a green economy, reduction of primary energy consumption and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The assumed objectives will be achieved as a result of the implementation of investment projects consisting in the modernisation of the already existing network in the direction of improving energy efficiency and the construction of new sections of district heating/cooling networks. Projects in the field of network infrastructure will be co-financed, including: construction of a district heating network (to connect new customers), modernisation (reconstruction) of a district heating/cooling network, construction and reconstruction of: district heating chambers, mains water pumping stations and heat nodes, also as hybrid systems, including as a result of the liquidation of group heat nodes. As part of the Project, it will be possible to support investment projects in the field of energy storage. The implemented projects will contribute to increasing the security of energy supply, implementing energy efficiency and increasing energy savings. The project will contribute to the European Union's climate policy objectives as set out in the European Green Deal, by carrying out actions to prevent climate change and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
