Heat to individual customers supplied from the S-1 district heating network, and delivered from the K-11 Municipal Boiler Room at ul. Rtm. - Mm-hmm. W. Pilecki 1 in Bochnia, covers approx. 75% of customer demand. It is supplied through a high-parameter water heat network and individual nodes with weather regulation, some customers are supplied from internal reception installations with group nodes. Through the S-1 network, the residential resources of the Housing Cooperative, Housing Communities and public facilities in the western and southern parts of the city are supplied with thermal energy, as well as the Salt Mine and the CEBEA Experimental Production Plant. The network is branched through 3 group exchange nodes for external receiving installations (low-temperature water networks) behind the group nodes: • WG-01 - Windakiewicza designed for the liquidation and construction of 12 individual nodes • WG-02 - St. John the Baptist Brand designed for liquidation and construction of 6 individual nodes • WG-04 - Miners . The adjustment of the heat carrier is carried out qualitatively – quantitatively through the setting of heating curves depending on the external temperature in the controllers in the heat source of the K-11 boiler room and at group nodes and in heat nodes at individual customers. In January 2021, an ‘Energy Efficiency Audit’ was prepared for MPEC to assess energy efficiency improvements in the thermal modernisation of MPEC district heating networks. In the audit, the author analyzed the condition of MPEC heating networks, made in duct technology, powered from the Municipal Boiler K-11, in terms of modernization needs in the direction of exchange for pre-insulated networks with much lower heat losses. The state of thermal insulation of the cables of existing duct networks is described as bad, moreover, there are quite frequent network failures due to their technical degradation (built from the early 70s to the early 80s of the twentieth century) and executive and material defects. There is an urgent need to replace all duct networks. The development of the district heating duct networks was divided into 5 areas and the current heat losses were determined: 1.
