The main objective of the project is to implement energy-efficient technological solutions in the area of modernization of the transmission network and heat nodes. Planned technological solutions enabling efficient supply of heat for heating purposes (central heating), throughout the year. The use of the designed thermal insulation system will positively affect the financial stability of the company and, as a consequence, will contribute to increasing investment opportunities in terms of energy efficiency, which in turn will translate into reducing gas emissions to the environment. Reducing greenhouse gas emissions to the atmosphere will contribute to improving the state of the environment, implementing the assumptions of the policy of sustainable development of the economy. In a broader context, the implementation of the project contributes to the long-term climate objectives set out in the strategy papers at national and European level. The material scope of this project will include: a) Replacing the district heating network The project will consist in replacing the district heating network made using the duct method with a new pre-insulated network. The technical condition of the existing network is defined as insufficient. All pipelines that are to be replaced are more than 25 years old, which shapes the deterioration rate of the pipeline insulation at 1.85. Pipeline diameters remain unchanged. It is assumed that the analysed parts of the network work with water with an average supply temperature of 81°C and a return of 48°C for the heating season. These values have been established for the parameters of the district heating network 130/70 °C, with an average temperature in the heating season of 5.6 °C. b) Modernization of the group node Modernization of the group node will consist in replacing inefficient elements of the district heating nodes c) Accompanying actions As part of this action, it is planned to purchase investor supervision services, promotional and information activities and validation of the effects of project implementation by performing an ex-post audit. The implementation of the investment in question is one of the elements of the implementation of the company’s long-term development strategy towards obtaining the status of an ‘energy-efficient district heating system’ by the applicant. The main objective of the project is to implement an effective technological solution in the area of modernization of the transmission network and heat nodes. The planned actions will directly translate into a reduction in primary energy demand. The effects of the project in terms of sustainable development, environmental protection and climate change will be: • reducing emissions of pollutants into the air from other heat-producing sources • reducing the consumption of non-renewable raw materials (fossil fuels) for electricity and heat production by improving the efficiency of existing installations • reducing the risk of corrosion of monuments due to emissions of pollutants by improving the efficiency of existing installations for electricity and heat production • protecting buildings (buildings, buildings, small architecture) from corrosion due to reduced emissions of pollutants by improving the efficiency of existing installations for the production of electricity and heat. The promotional activities planned as part of the project implementation will include, among others, the marking of project documents, the marking of the place of project implementation with an information plaque and a commemorative plaque after the completion of the project. The implementation of the project assumes educational activities in the field of raising environmental awareness of the local community. The planned educational activities will mainly include the promotion of broadly understood pro-ecological attitudes among the local community.
