The aim of the project is to support the development of renewable energy through the construction or conversion of installations of renewable energy sources for the production of electricity and heat from such sources as: biogas, biomethane, biomass, water, wind, solar radiation, geothermal energy and supporting investments in the production of alternative fuels from RES (in particular biomethane and green hydrogen). The project ‘Development of RES’ assumes the achievement of the objective of the FEnIKS Operational Programme, which is to improve the conditions for the development of the country by building technical and social infrastructure in accordance with the assumptions of sustainable development. The project falls under the specific objective ERDF/CF.CP2.II - Fostering renewable energy in line with Directive (EU) 2018/2001, including its sustainability criteria. The above objective will be achieved by: decarbonisation of the economy, including the transition to a green and circular economy, reduction of primary energy consumption and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The assumed objectives will be achieved as a result of the implementation of investment projects consisting in the construction or reconstruction of installations of renewable energy sources for the production of electricity and heat from such sources as: biogas, biomethane, biomass, water, wind, solar radiation, geothermal energy and supporting investments in the production of alternative fuels from RES (in particular biomethane and green hydrogen). The following areas of projects from the renewable energy sector will be supported: wind, solar, biomass, biomass with high greenhouse gas reductions and other types of renewable energy including geothermal. As it is not possible to select multiple options in section A, in the field ‘Project area’, this description complements this field. As part of the Project, it will be possible to support investment projects in the field of energy storages operating for the needs of a given RES source and infrastructure enabling connection to the electricity, heating or gas network. Solutions enabling efficient energy storage and better management of electricity and heat obtained from renewable energy sources will be supported. The implemented projects will contribute to increasing the security of energy supply, implementing energy efficiency and increasing energy savings, decarbonising industry and the transition to a low-carbon economy, and above all to the development of new and renewable forms of energy. The project will contribute to the European Union's climate policy objectives as set out in the European Green Deal, by carrying out actions to prevent climate change and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the project will contribute to the implementation of objectives resulting from appropriate development strategies of a national nature, i.e. - National Strategy for Regional Development 2030 - Poland's Energy Policy until 2040 - National Energy and Climate Plan 2021-2030 (NECP) The project will include educational activities in the form of on-line training, which are planned to be carried out both at the stage of submitting grant applications and at the stage of implementing contracts. In addition, it is planned to organize conferences at which selected completed investments will be presented, and to publish information on implemented investments on dedicated websites and social media. In addition, representatives of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management participating in the conference, television and radio programs present the offered forms of support.
