ePUAP address: /UMPoznan/SkrytkaESP The main objective of the project ‘Center Programme – Stage II – construction of a tram route with traffic calming in Ratajczaka Street’ is to improve the quality and functioning of the communication infrastructure of Poznań and the Poznań agglomeration by improving public transport, increasing the accessibility of public transport for persons with disabilities and improving the quality of public space. Phase I of the project consisting in the construction of a single-track tram route at ul. Ratajczaka (on the section from the intersection with St. John the Baptist) Marcin to ul. 27 December with the reconstruction of the intersection of St. John the Baptist and St. John the Baptist. Marcin - Ratajczaka), was implemented in 2022-2023 under measure 6.1. Development of public transport in cities, OPIE 2014-2020. Currently, the implementation of phase II of the project is planned, consisting of: - construction of a two-track tram route in ul. Unbreakable and in ul. Ratajczaka (on the section from the intersection with ul. Queen Jadwiga/Wierzbięcice to ul. Saint Francis of Assisi Marcin (without intersection), - reconstruction of the turnout junction of Queen Jadwiga / Wierzbięcice, - construction of accompanying infrastructure related to the construction of stops and elimination of infrastructure collisions accompanying the above-mentioned scope. Thanks to the implementation of the entire project, communication between the extremely functional areas of the city will be improved, especially on the north-south transport axis. Part of the tram lines serving connections between the centre of Poznań and other functional areas of the city will be directed to the tracks to be built. The investment will shorten the travel times of these sections of the line, which will translate into better communication of functional areas of Poznań. The investment provides for the construction of a new track and new tram stops, which will translate into greater availability of tram transport. It is also planned to create additional facilities for cyclists. Bicycle paths and racks will be created. These activities will increase the accessibility of the project area for cycling. The investment also provides for privileged pedestrian traffic through the introduction of a residential zone. The total cost of the project (phase II) is PLN 180 000 000.00 gross, including the eligible costs: PLN 118 000 000.00. The detailed material scope of the project can be found in section. 9 of SW. All entities incurring eligible expenditure under the project have procedures in place in the area of contracting for tasks covered by the project.
