Construction of the S7 road, sec. Płońsk (S10) – Garlic

The project includes the construction of the S7 Płońsk - Czosnów expressway. 34.64 km, located on the TEN-T core network and consists of the following sections, implemented as separate works contracts in the P&B system: - Section I from ‘Siedlin’ node (without node) to ‘Załuski’ node (without node) by length 12.87 km; - Section II from ‘Załuski’ node (with node) to ‘Modlin’ node (without node) lengthwise 12.03 km; - Section III from ‘Modlin’ node (with node) to ‘Czosnów’ node (without node) by 9.74 km. The project is located in the Mazowieckie voivodship, in the Płońsk and Nowy Dwor districts, in the following communes: Płońsk, Załuski, Zakroczym, Nowy Dwór Maz. and Czosnów. Scope of investment: The road under construction is entirely in the footsteps of the existing national road No. 7 (class GP) and S7. The extension of the existing road is designed in a symmetrical manner to the existing axle by adding one lane in each direction and also taking into account the need to correct the geometry (e.g. non-normative radii of horizontal curves). For the entire investment there is a two-day section with three lanes, a dividing lane and an emergency lane, adapted to the road class and the forecasted traffic level. Redesigned road junctions will enable safer communication and better distribution of traffic on the rest of the road network and servicing the adjacent area through a network of access roads provided outside the main carriageways. As part of the project, the construction of 3 Travel Service Centres (MOPs) and a Road Maintenance Area (OUD) is planned. It is necessary to implement engineering structures and road culverts, which are also passages for animals. Noise protection will be provided by acoustic screens. It is planned to build a rainwater drainage system along with the construction of rainwater sewerage, roadside ditches and rainwater purification devices. It is planned to build lighting, rebuild the conflicting networks of land armament. The implementation of the Project will require the construction and reconstruction of road infrastructure elements: sidewalks, walking and cycling paths, bicycle paths, exits, emergency exits and crossings and others. The whole intention will be complemented by the organization's equipment and BRD including energy-intensive barriers and vertical and horizontal markings. Objectives of the Project: -the creation of a safe section of the express road route forming part of the corridor of the trans-European TEN-T network, ensuring high comfort of long-distance high-speed road traffic for travellers, improving the transport accessibility of Poland and interregional connections within the TEN-T network; -increasing accessibility to the TEN-T trans-European network corridor and improving the quality of internal communication links; -improving the efficiency of road transport and ensuring the free movement of people, goods, capital and services, contributing to the EU's external competitiveness and internal economic, social and territorial cohesion; -adjusting the technical-utility parameters of the road to the forecast level of traffic, by removing bottlenecks and completing missing road infrastructure in a way that improves capacity and traffic conditions in the transport corridor; -reducing congestion and improving the living conditions of residents of development areas adjacent to existing transport solutions; -improving transit traffic and increasing the level of user safety in order to preserve the interoperability of the transport infrastructure created, by adapting the road to the applicable legal provisions for ‘S’ class roads; Increased mobility of people and goods.
