Works on the C-E 65 railway line Chorzów Batory – Tarnowskie Góry – Karsznice – Inowrocław – Bydgoszcz – Maksymilianowo, stage I – phase II

Project "Works on the C-E 65 railway line for the section: Chorzów Batory – Tarnowskie Góry – Karsznice – Inowrocław – Bydgoszcz – Maksymilianowo, stage I – phase II’ is a continuation of works related to the modernisation/construction of railway lines on the Chorzów Batory – Zduńska Wola Karsznice section not included in phase I of the project ‘Works on railway line C-E 65 per section. Chorzów Batory – Tarnowskie Góry – Karsznice – Inowrocław – Bydgoszcz – Maksymilianowo, stage I’. The above works include, in particular, the reconstruction of: • 2-track railway line No 131 between Chorzów Batory and Nakło Śląskie; • 2nd track railway line No 161 on the Katowice Szopienice Północne - Chorzów Stary section; • 1-track railway line No 161 on the Katowice Szopienice Północne - Chorzów Stary section; • 1-track railway line No 132 on the section Bytom - Bytom Bobrek; • 2-track railway line No 132 on the section Bytom - Bytom Bobrek; • 1-track railway line No 145 on the section JUP PBSZ – Radzionków; • 1-track railway line No 127 on the Radzionków - Tarnowskiego Góra section TGB T3; • 1-track railway line No 128 on the Radzionków - Nakło Śląskie section T4; • 1-track railway line No 165 on the section Bytom Bobrek - Bytom Karb; • 1-track railway line No 181 on the Herby Nowe – Kępno section; • 1-track railway line No 146, section Exhaust – Chorzew Siemkowice; • 1-track railway line No 686 on the Herby Nowe – Liswarta section; • 2nd track railway line No 686 on the Herby Nowe – Liswarta section; • 1-track railway line No 687 on the Kalina – Herby Stare section; • 1-track railway line No 704 on the Herby Stare – Herby Nowe section; • 1-track railway line No 542 on the section Gajewniki - Zduńska Wola Karsznice; • 1-track railway line No 739 on the section Zduńska Wola Karsznice – Zduńska Wola; In addition, the scope of the Project includes: • construction of 2 railway viaducts and 1 road viaduct; • reconstruction/modernisation of 13 railway viaducts and 3 railway bridges; • construction of 2 passenger stops (Chorzów University, Bytom North); • modernization of 5 stations (Chorzów Miasto, Chorzów Stary, Bytom, Bytom Karb, Radzionków) and 1 passenger stop Radzionków Rojca; • reconstruction of electrical equipment (power, lighting, EOR, etc.), • reconstruction of the overhead contact line, • construction/reconstruction of lines of non-attractive needs, • reconstruction of the network and electrical equipment nN, • installation of computer terminals; As a result of the works covered by Phase I and Phase II, 129,097 km of the 2-track line and 24,531 km of the 1-track line will be rebuilt. The project will be implemented in the Build, Design and Build formula, by the Northern Region Investment Implementation Centre, in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The above scope will be implemented within the framework of ten Tasks: 1. Project documentation for the Nakło Śląskie – Kalina section (LOT B); 2. Works on the section Chorzów Batory – Nakło Śląskie (LOT A); 3. Construction works on the Kalina – Rusiec Łódzki (LOT C) section; 4. Construction works on the section Rusiec Łódzki – Zduńska Wola Karsznice (LOT D); 5. Management and supervision of LOT A; 6. Information and publicity measures; 7. Connection agreements; 8. Buying land. The Contract does not include a contingency reserve. It is planned that after the implementation of the investment, the following elements and technical parameters of the line will be achieved: • maximum speed – passenger trains V=140 km/h, freight trains V=120 km/h. • axle load 221 kN and 245 kN for new and upgraded engineering structures; As a result of the implementation of the Project, the requirements for interoperability within the scope of the Infrastructure TSI, the Control-Command TSI and the Energy TSI will be met.
