The project consists in the construction of the S6 section expressway. Słupsk – Bożepole Wielkie with a length of 71.76 km, located in the comprehensive TEN-T network. The investment is located in the north-western part of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the city with the rights of the Słupsk district and the following districts: Słupsk, Lębork and Wejherowo municipalities: Kobylnica, Słupsk, Redzikowo, Damnica, Potęgowo, Nowa Wieś Lęborska, Lębork, Łęczyce. Scope of investment: the S6 expressway in question starts in the Kobylnica commune in the Słupsk poviat, where it connects to the existing road system by adding a second roadway to the Słupsk bypass, and ends at the Bożepole Wielkie junction, where it connects to the further S6 road. A two-day section with two lanes and an emergency lane, adapted to the forecast traffic level, is planned for the entire section of the investment in question. The road junctions designed as part of this investment will enable safe communication and distribution of traffic on the remaining road network and servicing the adjacent area through the access road network. The project consists of 5 tasks, carried out under separate contracts: -task 1: second carriageway within the Słupsk bypass - task 2: end of the Słupsk bypass – Bobrowniki junction (with junction) – task 3: Bobrowniki node (without node) – Skórowo node (with node) – task 4: Skórowo node (without node) – Leśnice node (with node) – task 5: Leśnice node (without node) – Bożepole Wielkie node (without node). It is necessary to implement engineering structures and road culverts, which are also passages for animals. Noise protection will be provided by acoustic screens. It is planned to build a rainwater drainage system along with the construction of rainwater sewerage and pumping station, drainage ditches and rainwater purification devices. It is planned to build lighting, rebuild the conflicting networks of land armament. The implementation of the project will require the construction and reconstruction of road infrastructure elements: sidewalks, walking and cycling paths, bicycle paths, bus bays, exits, trips, emergency crossings and others. The whole plan will be complemented by road safety and organisation equipment including, in addition to energy-intensive barriers, vertical and horizontal markings. Technical Parameters: road class: S; load 115 kN/axle; Category of traffic: KR 6. Objectives of the Project: - creating a section of express road route forming part of the TEN-T comprehensive trans-European network, ensuring high-speed long-distance road traffic comfort for travellers, improving the transport accessibility of Europe, Poland and interregional connections on the TEN-T network, - increasing accessibility to the TEN-T trans-European network corridor and improving the quality of internal communication links, by properly connecting the planned route with the remaining road network, - improving road transport efficiency and ensuring the free movement of people, goods, capital, services, affecting the growth of the EU's external competitiveness and internal economic, social and territorial cohesion, - adapting the technical and usage parameters of the road to the forecasted level of traffic, by eliminating bottlenecks and filling missing road infrastructure elements, in a way that improves the capacity and traffic conditions in the transport corridor, - relieving congestion and improving the living conditions of residents of building areas adjacent to existing transport solutions, - streamlining transit traffic on the existing transport corridor and increasing the level of user safety in order to maintain interoperability Detailed information on the technical parameters, the decisions taken and the complete inventory of documentation can be found in chapter 1.1.4. RSW and 2.1.3. Further description can be found in the ‘Additional information’ tab.
