As a continuation of previous projects, the project is currently focused on securing the most valuable BN collections, providing conditions for their maintenance and development, as well as making them available. As part of the project, it is planned to adapt and arrange selected rooms of the main building of BN, as well as to increase energy efficiency. As part of the preparatory work: a. a feasibility study and annexes to the proposal have been developed; b. public consultations and demand analyses have been carried out. Infrastructural activities: Construction and installation works a. Adaptation of the rooms to the warehouse of the most valuable manuscripts - the rooms on the Low and High Ground in the A6 building will be adapted to the warehouse for special collections. b. Change of the arrangement of room No. 42 to the workshop of the Manuscripts Department along with the adaptation of the installation. In the workshop of the Department of Manuscripts, manuscripts from the collections of the Treasury of Writing of the Republic of Poland will be preserved and developed. c. Adaptation of the room to the Multifunctional Hall. Within the premises located in the A2 building, construction works are planned leading to the adaptation of the space to the Multifunctional Room. d. Increasing energy efficiency and improving the security of storage and sharing of resources. Replacement of the 1.4 MW ice water chiller located on the roof of building C together with replacement of the cold engine room, replacement of the power supply section of the distributor in the basement, replacement of the cold distributors and execution of new power supply for warehouses in building A6 and supplying the workshop of the Manuscripts Department. Extension of the existing cooling system to the server room located in building B. The aim is to ensure the security of storing and making available the digitised collections of the National Library. The eligible costs also include the tasks necessary for the proper implementation of supervision over the above-mentioned works. g. Preparation of tender documentation. In order to ensure the best possible preparation of the project for implementation, the costs of preparing tender documentation have been planned. Purchase of equipment: a. Furniture equipment. It is planned to equip the rooms with the necessary furniture: the manuscript warehouse, the workshop of the Manuscripts Department, the equipment of the Multifunctional Room, as well as racks, desks, chairs, armchairs, lamps complementing the previously purchased equipment of reading rooms and other spaces made available to readers. b. Multimedia systems. Purchase of equipment enabling the implementation of activities planned in the Multifunctional Room, i.e. trainings, conferences and workshops, but also other events such as outdoor events and exhibitions. c. Systems and equipment for recipients with special needs. Software and equipment facilitating the use of the BN offer by people with special needs, including in particular visual and hearing impairments. Soft actions: a. Improving the competence of the staff. A total of 22 training courses, vocational courses and postgraduate studies will be carried out in 4 blocks for 400 BN employees. b. Activities related to cooperation with a foreign partner - the Historical and Literary Society / Polish Library in Paris. Cooperation with the project partner will be based on the sharing of knowledge and experience and a series of exhibitions of manuscripts stored in BN and the partner's resources. Promotion of the project: Planned: - installation of an information and promotion board; - preparation of a subpage of the project; - carrying out a promotional campaign on social media; - preparation and broadcasting of the podcast cycle; - organization of a promotional conference ending the project - outdoor events and exhibitions. Project management: Project management and settlement of co-financing. The implementation of the project has been fully prepared. Robots do not require decisions or notifications. Contracts for the implementation of the project have not yet been concluded. So far, the application documentation has been made.
