The implementation of the project will lead to the development of the infrastructure of one of the most important cultural institutions in the Łódź region - the Grand Theatre in Łódź, while ensuring the protection of cultural heritage in order to strengthen its impact on the region's economic development and social inclusion, also fitting into the green and digital transformation. The subject of the project is the adaptation, modernization and equipment of the Grand Theatre in Łódź. As part of the project, construction works are planned, including maintenance and renovation works, as well as increasing the safety of employees, artists and spectators (fire protection systems, stage floor, machines and equipment for the studio). 1. As part of the preparatory work: a. a feasibility study and annexes to the proposal have been developed; b. public consultations and demand analyses have been carried out. As part of the infrastructure activities, the following are planned: 2. Construction, conservation and restoration work: a. design and tender documentation has been developed; b. it is planned to carry out construction works, conservation works and restoration works in the scope of: - reconstruction, conservation renovation and change of use of part of the underground floor of the main building, - replacement of windows on the back of the main building, - modernisation of two entrances to the building with adaptation for people with special needs, - renovation of the gate to the freight cranes in the main building, - fire protection of the building, - replacement of boards on the main stage, - modernisation of rooms in the so-called ‘administrative part’ of the main building, - renovation of the main building facade, - modernisation of central heating. 3. It is planned to provide the necessary supervision: a. investor supervision; b. author's supervision. 4. It is planned to purchase equipment and equipment for cultural and educational activities: - multimedia and furniture development of the underground floor intended for workshop rooms, recording studios, as well as multimedia rooms, - furniture equipment in the entrance space, - purchase of energy-efficient light sources, - purchase of induction loops, - purchase of a tyflographic plan and braille plates, - purchase of machines and equipment for theatrical production, - purchase of stage technology (acoustics), - purchase of stage technology (lighting), - purchase of equipment and information technology. Equipping the institution with modern technologies and equipment will ensure business continuity in the conditions of crisis or limited availability, among others by providing an online offer. 5. Soft measures are planned: - improving the competences of the staff - training; - activities related to cooperation with a foreign partner; - educational activities raising the environmental awareness of the society. 6. Promotion activities: - installation of an information and promotion board; - posting and constant updating of information about the project on the website; - promotion campaign on social media; - placement of promotional articles in the local and national press, - campaign in regional TV, - outdoor campaign, - making-of film from the course of the project, - printing and distribution of promotional leaflets, - organization of 2 press conferences, - organization of a cultural event of a promotional nature at the end of the project with the participation of a partner from another country. 7. Project management and settlement of co-financing. So far, contracts for the preparation of technical documentation and application documentation have been concluded and implemented. Contracts for other activities related to the implementation of the project have not yet been concluded. The project will be implemented by contractors selected in tender procedures. Investor supervision will ensure compliance of the works with the provisions of the construction law. The applicant shall have the required formal decisions: conservation permits and building permits.
