The subject of the project is the construction of the Bytowski Cultural Centre. The applicant for the project is the Commune of Bytów - a local government unit. The project will be implemented in partnership between the Commune of Bytów and a non-governmental organization - the Local Action Group Partnership Dorzecze Słupia. The investment will be implemented in Bytów - a medium-sized city losing its socio-economic functions. After completion of the project, the entity managing the building will be the Bytowskie Centrum Kultury (Bytowskie Centre for Culture), a local government cultural unit of the Bytów Commune. As part of the project, 8 substantive tasks are planned to be carried out: 1.Construction of the Bytów Cultural Centre – construction works. As part of the task, the following were specified: a. demolition of existing buildings constituting the seat of BCK - currently on plots of land: 45/2 and 45/3 are the buildings of the Bytowski Cultural Centre. Due to poor technical condition and lack of modernization, these buildings require demolition. b. construction of the Bytowski Cultural Centre in the form of a complex of two buildings: building A – spectacular and building B, c. development of the area around the buildings built. The project will be located on plots 45/2, 45/3, 47 in Bytów. The investment is aimed at improving the quality of life of the local community and enabling access to a wide cultural and entertainment offer for, among others, residents of the Bytów commune. The Centre will have a variety of cultural and social functions and will be equipped, inter alia, with: a multifunctional room for 312 people, a cinema room for 104 people, a conference room for 25 people. Building B will also house two teaching rooms with a total capacity of 60 people, rooms for classes and rooms for individual learning. The entire complex will be adapted to the needs of people with special needs, in accordance with the principles of universal design. The project also assumes the use of energy-saving technologies, so that the Centre is environmentally friendly. 2.Purchase of equipment or equipment of the Bytów Cultural Centre in the form of equipment: economic, office, IT equipment for online work, ceramics studio, music studio, art studio, equipment for improving the accessibility of buildings for people with disabilities, equipment for buildings A and B (not permanently installed in the building), purchase and installation of permanent equipment of built facilities (including sound system, lighting, audiovisual equipment). 3.Supervision of works/robots - covering two categories of activities: - investor's supervision over construction works, - author's supervision. 4.Information and promotion activities: - purchase and installation of an information board informing about EU funding, - creation of a new website of the Centre. 5.Cooperation activities with partners from other countries (Taurog City of Lithuania) including: organization of a study visit in the city of Taurogi, organization of a study visit in Bytów, organization of the Partner's Day in Bytów, 6.Increasing the competences of the beneficiary's staff - implementation of educational activities addressed to BCK employees, on the subject of: diversification of sources of financing for activities during the project durability period / raising funds for the activities and development of institutions from off-budget sources; the organisation of cultural activities; digital transformation; governance; introducing innovative forms of participation in culture; social inclusion. 7.Educational activities raising environmental awareness of the society, 8.Catalogue of indirect costs in accordance with the annex to the grant agreement. The aim of the project is to increase the importance of culture in the socio-economic development of the Bytów commune. The investment is fully prepared for implementation - the municipality is in possession of a valid building permit. The project has not started – the investment is planned for 2025-2028.
