The beneficiary of the project is the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, as the General Conservator of Monuments, and the entities authorised to incur expenditure under the project are 16 Provincial Conservators of Monuments in connection with the implementation of tasks related to the conservation supervision of works carried out as part of, among others, large linear investments, in areas such as culture, transport, environment and energy, co-financed by the OPIE, FEnIKS and the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF and CEF 2). PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT: • carrying out conservation supervision activities more efficiently and effectively, such as issuing administrative decisions and investment provisions financed by the OPIE, FEnIKS, CEF and CEF2; • better implementation of checks on investments carried out in terms of compliance with the provisions on the protection of monuments; • addressing emerging irregularities at a sufficiently early stage and an effective response by the authority at each stage of the investment work carried out. In connection with the implementation of the above tasks, it is necessary to provide the General Conservator of Monuments and Provincial Conservators of Monuments with adequate human, administrative and technical resources. Therefore, the project plans, among others: financing expenditure on salaries and training of staff performing tasks related to OPI&E, FEnIKS, CEF and CEF2 projects, expert and legal support, organisational, technical and administrative costs.
