The task concerns the purchase of equipment for conducting rescue operations and removing the effects of catastrophic phenomena or chemical-ecological and sanitary-epidemiological accidents in the area of the Oleś County. The project is aimed at developing the potential of public services: Volunteer Fire Brigades in the district of Oleski and the Crisis Management Centre in Olesno, i.e. units working to protect human life from the effects of natural disasters. Volunteer fire brigades, which are planned to be retrofitted, are included in the National Fire and Rescue System. Educational and informational activities related to climate and protection of water resources are a complementary element in the project. As a result of the project, 5 fire trucks will be purchased, equipped with equipment for conducting rescue operations and removing the consequences of disasters, 10 units of rescue services will be equipped with equipment for conducting rescue operations and removing the consequences of disasters. The total area covered by protection measures against climate-related natural disasters (in addition to floods and uncontrolled fires) will be 973.6 ha, the total area covered by protection measures against uncontrolled fires will be 658.13 ha.
