Together against climate threats – equipping the Voluntary Fire Brigades in Głubczyce district.

This project introduces a comprehensive approach to contemporary climate change challenges. In the face of increasingly frequent and intense climatic events, such as extreme droughts, floods and fires, coordinated action is needed to minimise risks and protect communities. This project focuses both on providing the necessary equipment, such as fire trucks, motopomps, water tanks and power generators, which will enable an effective response to natural disasters, as well as on social education. Through investments in protective infrastructure, the project aims to increase the preparedness of local communities for emergency response in the event of climate disasters. Equipment such as vehicles, hoses, tanks, radios, drones, power tools, transport infrastructure and power generators provide the ability to react in times of crisis and to maintain the necessary functions in crisis situations. The project partnership includes the coordinating beneficiary, i.e. Głubczycki District and partners, which include Głubczyce Commune, Kietrz Commune, Baborów Commune and Voluntary Fire Brigade in Branice. The project involves the purchase of equipment and the organisation of educational activities by the partners. The project provides for the implementation of 9 tasks, which include: 1) Purchase of equipment and equipment by the Głubczycki District 2) Promotional and educational activities of the Głubczycki District 3) Purchase of equipment and equipment by the Głubczyce Municipality 4) Promotional and educational activities of the Głubczyce Municipality 5) Purchase of equipment and equipment by the Kietrz Municipality 6) Promotional and educational activities of the Kietrz Municipality 7) Purchase of equipment and equipment by the Baborów Municipality 8) Purchase of equipment and equipment by the TSO Branice 9) Development of the necessary design documentation. In addition to the purchase of firefighting and rescue equipment and equipment, the project provides for the purchase of 7 rescue and firefighting vehicles, which will be equipped by the TSO Dzierżysław, TSO Ściborzyce, TSO Kietrz, TSO Grobniki, TSO Baborów and TSO Branice. In addition, it is planned to purchase 7 quad vehicles with the necessary accompanying infrastructure (for TSO Grobniki, TSO Lewica, TSO Zopowy, TSO Dzierżysław, TSO Kietrz, TSO Ściborzyce Wielkie, TSO Baborów). The project also provides for promotional and educational activities to be carried out by the Głubczyce and Kietrz municipalities and the Głubczycki District. Activities will include the organization of a picnic and educational exhibition, a campaign addressed to residents, with particular emphasis on the elderly.
