Thermomodernization of school buildings at ul. Kiliński and Pl. 1000th anniversary in Szczuczyn

The main objective of the Project is to improve the condition and energy efficiency of public utility facilities located in the area of the Szczuczyn Commune by carrying out their energy thermomodernization by the end of December 2025. The investment will also help to achieve the following specific objectives: - Reduction of energy consumption, - Reduction of energy losses, - Reduction of operating costs related to energy consumption, - Reduction of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere, - Improvement of the state of the environment, - Increasing the energy parameters of buildings, - Increasing the attractiveness and accessibility of facilities, - Granting new functions to areas, - Improving the quality of life of target groups, - Increasing the environmental knowledge of target groups. This project consists of 8 tasks, i.e.: 1. Thermomodernisation of part of the Władysław Broniewski Primary School in Szczuczyn at Pl. 1000 years 14 2. Thermomodernisation of part of the Władysław Broniewski Primary School in Szczuczyn at Pl. 1000 years 14 - costs not resulting from energy audit 3. Thermomodernization of the buildings of the School and Preschool Complex in Szczuczyn at ul. Kilińskiego 42 4. Thermomodernization of the buildings of the School and Preschool Complex in Szczuczyn at ul. Kilińskiego 42 - costs not resulting from the energy audit 5. Investor supervision over the thermomodernization works 6. Application of adaptation solutions to climate change (elements dedicated to hedgehogs and birds) 7. Implementation of educational activities in the field of ecology for residents of the Szczuczyn 8 Commune. Indirect costs The implementation of the above-mentioned scope of activities will respond to the following leading and identified problems/needs: - STATE OF THE ENVIRONMENT - The applicant has identified the factors contributing to the main problem. These are: Insufficient fight against climate change in the Municipality, High and constantly increasing energy charges, High energy consumption due to poor infrastructure of buildings, networks and heating sources. - LOW LEVEL OF ECOLOGICAL AWARENESS - Currently, there are no activities in the Szczuczyn Commune that allow to get to know its rich natural environment and in an attractive way to assimilate knowledge about the possibilities and the need to protect it. - IMPLEMENTATION OF NEEDS - The main problems of the Municipality diagnosed by the Applicant and project stakeholders concern the energy efficiency of public buildings, and thus the high costs of their maintenance, high energy consumption in the Municipality, as well as growing anthropopression on the natural environment. Initial consultations at the level of the government and the local community allowed to determine the main sources of demand for the implementation of the Project, which are, among others: social expectations, reduction by the municipal authorities of the costs of maintaining buildings, increase in energy efficiency in the Municipality of Szczuczyn as a manifestation of the implementation of environmental protection policy, the need to adapt the infrastructure to the requirements of the law and thus improve the energy efficiency of buildings (Directives and EU communications). The implementation of needs is based on several key arguments, including: Energy Sustainability, Energy Security, Cost Saving, Increasing Energy Efficiency, Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Climate Change. The Szczuczyn Commune carried out an analysis based on the priority needs of the Commune and its inhabitants. It turns out that the need to implement the Project results primarily from the analysis of energy efficiency and still too low level of occurrence of solutions in this area in the Commune of Szczuczyn. In addition, the need to apply new solutions to improve the energy balance of buildings was noted. This Project will be implemented in the period from 22.07.2024 to 31.12.2025. The total value of the Project is PLN 6 710 834.11 gross, of which the eligible costs are PLN 5 419 396.89 gross and the co-financing amount is PLN 4 606 487.36 gross.
