The project assumes the construction of electricity storage and heat storage facilities improving the efficiency of the use of energy from RES for the social and living needs of residents of the City of Siemiatycze, excluding buildings in which economic activity is carried out, including agricultural activity. The scope of the project results directly from the residents' needs reported in the market research process by collecting project applications in the form of declarations. The final selection of Grantees and the rules for the use of the awarded Grants are described in the Grant Selection Procedures and the implementation of the Grant Project. As part of the implementation of the project, educational, information and promotional activities in the field of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency are also planned, which will take place at the Białystok University of Technology. The eligible expenditure of the project has been estimated in accordance with the rules for financing the project under the call. The applicant shall have all the technical and human resources to carry out the project. The project schedule reflects a realistic timeline for the implementation of the activities. The applicant, as an LTS, has the necessary funds ready to cover all costs and to maintain the sustainability of the project. The project will be implemented on the territory of the City of Siemiatycze and will be complementary with other grants implemented by the Applicant, such as: installation of PV installations and installation of solar collectors in the city residents. The City of Siemiatycze is the founder of the Energy Cluster, which received the Energy Cluster Pilot Certificate with distinction. The objective of the grant project ‘Grants for energy and heat storage for residents of Siemiatycz’ is to support renewable energy in accordance with Directive (EU) 2018/2001, including the sustainability criteria set out therein, i.e. improving air quality, including reducing CO2 emissions, by improving the efficiency of the use of energy from RES.
