The aim of the project is to: ‘Support for PSZ Podlaskie in the provision of services within the EURES network’, to be implemented from 1 April 2025 to 31 December 2027, is to support the Public Employment Services (PES) of Podlaskie in the provision of services within the EURES network (European Employment Services) and to increase the competences of 16 employees of employment offices from the region performing job placement tasks within the EURES network. The project assumes the implementation of information and communication activities in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, raising awareness of the unemployed, job seekers and others on the services and benefits offered by the EURES network by promoting mobility on the European labour market, undertaking safe work, job placement, information on living and working conditions in the EU and EFTA Member States, as well as the participation of EURES staff from WUP and PUP or/and the employer in job and career fairs abroad, in order to promote the offers of Polish employers and present living and working conditions in Poland. Information activities will be implemented through the participation of EURES staff in events in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, organized in cooperation with district labour offices, secondary schools, universities, other local government partners, e.g. in meetings and information workshops aimed at unemployed and job seekers abroad, youth of secondary schools and students. As part of the support for return mobility, it is planned to participate in information meetings addressed to Poles residing in the EU/EFTA Member States, organized in cooperation with EURES staff from other EU/EFTA Member States (e.g. Ireland, Norway, the Netherlands). In 2026, it is planned to organise an international labour fair, with the participation of employers and EURES staff from EU/EFTA countries. The project also provides for the participation of EURES staff from the WUP in Białystok and the PUP in job fairs organised in other EU/EFTA Member States, including job fairs for students/universities, in order to support regional employers in the recruitment of foreigners – EU/EFTA citizens and the presentation of regional companies and regional labour market opportunities. Regional employers interested in the opportunities offered by the European labour market will be able to take advantage of information seminars / conferences, organized in cooperation with selected district labour offices from the Podlaskie Voivodeship. As part of the activities supporting the development of competences of the PSZ staff, the project provides for the implementation of individual language courses and group and individual trainings, increasing the competences and skills necessary for the position. The training will result in obtaining or improving qualifications, including competences within the meaning of the Guidelines for monitoring material progress in the implementation of programmes for 2021-2027. In the area of supporting cross-border mobility, it is planned to develop cross-border cooperation with Lithuania in the form of participation of EURES staff from Poland in job fairs / meetings with unemployed/job-seekers/youth in Lithuania, interested in employment opportunities in our region or in Poland. The project also provides for the organisation of working visits of EURES staff from Podlaskie Province to Lithuania and EURES staff from Lithuania to Poland. The aim of the visits will be to exchange experiences and good practices in the field of cross-border mobility, to provide information on surplus and deficit occupations in border areas, the situation on the Polish and Lithuanian labour markets, and to strengthen mutual cooperation.
