The material scope of the project includes the purchase of a medium rescue and firefighting vehicle for the TSO unit in Dąbrowica in the Baranów Sandomierski Commune in accordance with the delivery specifications. The main problems of the project beneficiary are: - Successively increasing and more pronounced negative effects of climate change, including floods, heat waves and violent storms, - Inadequate protection against natural disasters related to the natural conditions of the Commune area - Existing environmental risks related to the occurrence of floods, heat waves and violent storms, - Lack of adequate equipment of the rescue system unit with high-quality equipment and rescue vehicles and tools for securing the property and safety of residents. - Threats to the safety of functioning of the appropriate infrastructure counteracting threats to the inhabitants of the Municipality, - Significant degree of wear and tear of rescue and firefighting equipment - obsolete, inefficient and emergency equipment generates problems of use, and frequent and ad hoc repairs generate unnecessary costs, which negatively affects the performance of TSO tasks. The main objective of the project is to counteract and minimize the effects of threats caused by natural factors, which is associated with the need to improve the level of risk safety. The main objective will be achieved through the following specific objectives: Improvement of the quality and functionality of the rescue and firefighting equipment of the TSO unit, with parameters and additional equipment enabling professional protection against threats, Improvement of the effectiveness of the rescue operations of the TSO unit operating in the municipality, enabling quick reaching the scene of the event and efficient performance of operations in difficult conditions, Improvement of the ability of the TSO unit to efficiently interact within the National Rescue and Firefighting System (KSRG), through the purchase of a new, fully functional and fully available rescue and firefighting vehicle, Improvement of the safety of firefighters from the TSO unit, which uses advanced technical and equipment solutions guaranteeing safe operation. Thanks to the implementation of the project objectives, fixed assets in the form of a means of transport will be provided to effectively protect residents, tourists and local entrepreneurs from threats that carry various types of dangers to life, health and property. The project will have a positive impact on the image of the region, which, along with increasing the sense of security in this area, will be perceived as a convenient place to live. It will also have a positive impact on increasing its investment attractiveness. Thanks to the project, the working conditions of volunteer firefighters will be improved, and thus the image of the TSO will be improved, which will indirectly contribute to stopping the outflow of young people from its ranks, as a problem that currently occurs in large numbers. In addition, due to the fact that TSO units included in the CRSG are called upon to participate in a large number of shares and are more burdened with departures than others, they require good quality equipment determining readiness for operation. Therefore, this TSO unit, which is very active in its area, is heavily burdened with trips and has a very worn out, outdated rescue and firefighting vehicle that does not meet today's requirements, was selected for support. The planned project is aimed exclusively at protecting areas from the effects of climate change or natural disasters. It will serve no other purpose. The project submitted for funding is a means of solving the problems identified above. The objectives and scope of the investment respond closely to the existing problems in terms of counteracting risks.
