The project includes a task related to the construction and modernization of basic water supply infrastructure, which in the planning documents of the Commune of Jawornik Polski constitute one of the indicated directions of activities aimed at improving the level of development of technical resources. The project is located in areas heavily threatened by drought. At the moment, only 2 towns in the commune are partially drained. The subject of the proposed project is the construction of a water supply network in non-water-supplied parts of the village: Zagórze and Jawornik Polski and in the next 4 towns: Manasterz, Hadle Kańczuckie, Hadle Szklarskie and Jawornik-Przedmieście with a total length of 40.19km in the pressure system together with the arming and construction of intersections and the modernization of two Water Treatment Stations in Jawornik Polski and Hadlach Szklarskie with the installation of PV installations with a capacity of 9.9kWp in each of the modernized SUW. The implementation of the investment will allow another 411 inhabitants of the municipality to access the mains water, and 1020 residents already using the water supply network will provide water of even higher quality (thanks to the modernisation of 2 treatment systems) and efficiency by reducing water losses (through the installation of water meters - 8 pcs). Access to drinking water is one of the basic social needs of man and determines the basic conditions of economic activity. The water supply network located in the Jawornik Polski commune has a total length of 11.1 km and is used by 21.4% of the commune's inhabitants, and as at 31.12.2021 the commune is inhabited by 4 282 people (GUS). Other residents use their own shots characterized by variable seasonal performance and lack of protection zones, as well as low physico-chemical and bacteriological parameters. Sewage treatment in accordance with national and EU legislation is ensured in the municipality, i.e. sewage systems for buildings are connected to the sanitary sewage system – 561 buildings and to tanks (765 units) referred to in Chapter 7 of the Regulation of the Minister for Infrastructure of 12 April 2002 on the technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location, as well as to domestic sewage treatment plants (8 units). The limited availability of water from the water supply network results in an increase in the incidence of diseases associated with the use of water with an unfavourable physico-chemical and bacteriological composition, an increase in the costs of doing business, a decrease in the competitiveness and socio-economic attractiveness of the municipality, and consequently the whole region of Podkarpacie and a deterioration in the quality of life of the inhabitants of the municipality. Shortages in water supply and unknown water quality are the main problems that are the subject of vigorous action by the municipal authorities, hence the proposed project, which is a key investment for the further development of the municipality, in particular for improving the quality of life in this area. It is closely linked to the objectives of sustainable development: meeting the water needs of the population, agriculture and industry, promoting sustainable water use, protecting water and ecosystems from water dependent on good status, improving water quality and the status of ecosystems degraded by human activities, reducing groundwater pollution and reducing the impact of floods and droughts. The direct objective of the project is to increase the percentage of inhabitants of the Commune of Jawornik Polski using an efficient water supply system with high physico-chemical and bacteriological parameters. The general objectives of the project are: rationalization of the costs of drinking water supply with known, high parameters, limited incidence of diseases associated with the use of water with an unfavorable physico-chemical and bacteriological composition, activation of entrepreneurship development.
