The project includes tasks related to the construction, expansion and reconstruction of basic water supply infrastructure, which in the Development Strategy of the Commune of Solina is one of the indicated directions of activities aimed at achieving the goal of: Improve the availability and standard of technical resources for residents and visitors to the municipality. The project will be entirely located in areas at high risk of drought and covered by the Blue San strategic area. The municipality of Solina, although it is characterized by a fairly high degree of drainage - 88.3%, water management issues are still not fully solved here. The subject of the project is the next stage of construction and reconstruction of the water supply network in the Municipality, this time in Berezka-Wola Matiaszowa and Bukowiec, as well as metering of the existing network in Polańczyk (ul. The spa). The water supply network covered by the project will have a total length of 11.11 km. The project also involves the expansion of the SUW in Polańczyk with the installation of a 39.84kWp PV installation, the construction of a surface intake on the Solina Lagoon and the construction of a retention reservoir with a technical building in Polańczyk. The implementation of the investment will allow another 20 residents of the commune to have access to high-quality network water (as a result of the construction of the water supply between Berezka and Wola Matiaszowa), as well as 2084 residents of Polańczyk, Myczków and parts of Berezka, and after the implementation of the project, also Wola Matiaszowa and Bereżnica Wyżna, already using the water supply network, will ensure the supply of water of even higher quality than before (extension of the SUW in Polańczyk and metering of the existing network in Polańczyk at ul. Zdrojowa), as well as 331 inhabitants of Bukowiec (as a result of the reconstruction of the water supply system in the town in question). It is estimated that the total population connected to the improved collective water supply systems as a result of the project will amount to 2,435 people. Sewage treatment in accordance with national and EU legislation is ensured in the municipality, i.e. sewage systems for buildings are connected to the sanitary sewage network – 836 buildings and to the reservoirs – 556 buildings referred to in Chapter 7 of the Regulation of the Minister for Infrastructure of 12 April 2002 on technical conditions (...), as well as to domestic sewage treatment plants (22 units). The incomplete availability of mains water in the municipality results in diseases associated with the use of water with an unfavourable physico-chemical and bacteriological composition, an increase in the costs of doing business, a decrease in the competitiveness and socio-economic attractiveness of the municipality, and consequently the entire Podkarpackie region, and a deterioration in the quality of life of the inhabitants of the municipality. Shortages in water supply and unknown water quality are the main problems that are the subject of vigorous action by the municipal authorities, hence the proposed project, which is a key investment for the further development of the municipality, in particular for improving the quality of life in this area and further development of tourism and the Spa. It is closely linked to the objectives of sustainable development: meeting the water needs of the population, agriculture and industry, promoting sustainable water use, protecting water and ecosystems from water dependent on good status, improving water quality and the status of ecosystems degraded by human activities, reducing groundwater pollution and reducing the impact of floods and droughts. The direct objective of the project is to increase the percentage of residents of the Commune of Solina using an efficient water supply system with high physico-chemical and bacteriological parameters. The general objectives of the project are: rationalization of the costs of drinking water supply with known, high parameters, limited incidence of diseases associated with the use of water with an unfavorable physico-chemical and bacteriological composition and activation of the development of entrepreneurship.
