Construction of sanitary sewerage network with sewers, sewage pumping stations and their power supply in Wola Zarczycka.

In response to the needs of the inhabitants of Nowa Sarzyna commune, it is planned to build sewage infrastructure in Wola Zarzycka. Construction and assembly works will be carried out, i.e. construction of the sanitary sewerage network with armament and purchase of equipment and devices necessary for the proper functioning of the built infrastructure. The scope of the project includes the following tasks: preparatory works, earthworks, assembly works: sanitary sewerage network and elements of armament, discharge sewerage network with elements of armament, construction of network sewage pumping stations. The project does not provide for the construction of connections and home pumping stations. There is no sewage infrastructure in the Nowa Sarzyna commune in Wola Zarczycka. Residents use drainless reservoirs (shambs). This generates significant costs . Waste water is transported to the waste water treatment plant in Sarzyna and is disposed of there. • High costs associated with existing solutions, • Significant environmental risks, which are a threat to the San River and pose a sanitary risk to the local community, • Failure of the agglomeration of Wola Zarczycka to comply with the requirements of Directive 91/271/EEC. Lack or insufficient treatment of waste water causes a threat to water resources and, as a consequence, human health problems; the lack of adequate infrastructure is also the reason for the escape of young people from the area, the ageing of the local community and the process of progressive impoverishment of the local social environment. The main benefits of the project are the protection and protection of surface waters against sewage pollution. The aim is to improve and maintain good quality surface and groundwater as a major natural resource. The construction of sanitary sewerage planned in the project will reduce the load of pollutants entering directly into soils, surface and deep water. In addition to protecting the natural environment, it will also create an opportunity for the development of the region and increase its attractiveness to external investors. This will allow, in particular, the development of entrepreneurship as well as the search for new forms of economic activity by the local population – mainly services and trade. The main objective of the project is to improve the quality and prevent environmental degradation by reducing water and soil pollution and protecting natural ecosystems. However, the direct objectives of the Project should include: • increasing the number of households, individual farms and enterprises connected to the sanitary sewerage network, • increasing the load on the sewage treatment plant the current use of approx. 60%, after the implementation of the project 80%, • limiting the uncontrolled discharge of sanitary wastewater to receivers, • Development of the Municipality, improvement of living conditions of residents. The specific objectives of the project include: • increasing access to sewage networks, increasing the number of people, businesses and public entities using sewage networks – especially in the areas of agglomerations included in the NWTP, Masterplan for the implementation of Council Directive 91/271/EEC concerning urban wastewater treatment • reducing environmental pollution from uncontrolled and illegal discharges of wastewater, • reducing the burden and costs associated with the emptying of septic tanks and individual exports of wastewater, • providing weapons for land for residential, commercial and public investments, • reducing the risk of contamination: individual and collective water intakes, watercourses and reservoirs, groundwater bodies; • improving the image of the commune • increasing the ecological awareness of residents,
